Probably the most common thing I do with ProBuilder is just to make rooms and fairly simple geometry. This involved a lot of extruding. I typically have different materials on my walls, floors, and ceilings, and it's annoying that when I extrude a wall, the resulting new geometry doesn't take on the materials I would expect. For example, here I've extruded the wall a couple of meters. Notice that the new chunk of floor it created has the wall's material, not the material on the floor.

I'm guessing there's some complex reason why my use case isn't easy to handle in the general case, but ideally the new floor would have taken on the material of the floor it shares an edge with. I realize that edge also connects to the wall, but maybe take the surface with the least angle?

Hi! I agree, we should be able to handle this better. Thanks for bringing it up, will look into it ASAP! :)
