Replacing STEAMVR Glove Mesh Problem

    SteamVR uses it's own set of meshes for controllers/hands, but I want to use my own.
    However when I replace the mesh on the Skinned Mesh Renderer the object becomes like this:


    So what I did was import the original Glove skinnen model in 3dsmax (Also tried blender), remove the mesh and a hand model over the Bones. Than create weights for the bones/vertices etc.
    The entire bone structure is the same, so it should work.

    Does anyone know if i'm doing something wrong or if i'm missing a Unity setting somewhere?

    I just noticed that my mesh has a wrong bone order than that of the SteamVR Glove model. I guess that probably has to do with it, however I can't change the bone order in the export both in 3ds max or in Blender....
