Replace Splatmaps Missing

This seem to be missing from terrain tools ... why?

Is there another way to import splat maps from external software ? Thanks.

 

My product on the Asset Store can do this. It is primarily for creating new terrain from external heightmap/splatmap data, however there is a function that allows you to replace splatmaps on existing terrain.

Someone might have a free alternative, however I am not aware of it.

I have ... but either i don't understand it or it doesn't have that functionality. I think this is about importng splat maps inside unity from one terrain node to another. I don't believe it can do that from external software ... unless there is some workaround.

 

So is there any other way to import splat maps in unity besides the paid option ... ?
