Hi, in one project we use Maya's mb-files directly in Unity, and now we would like to replace them with fbx-files. Is it possible to do without loosing references in scenes? I understand, we should start using fbx format from scratch, but maybe someone did this before and know any trick / workaround to do this? As I understand we need somehow update Meshe's references from old mb-files to new fbx-files, otherwise we are loosing links between Mesh Filters in scenes and actual Meshes in model files.

    Hi,

did you find a solution? Same problem here, used an very old maya version with mb-files and jumped now to maya lt 2017. Would like to replace the old mb-files with the fbx-files too.

    Best regards
    Jörg

Nope, looks like this is a "Hand Made" work :)

Thank you. I group selected the objects and simply changed the mesh inside the mesh filter. Should be okay, I hope. :)

Yes, this works ok, but when you have hundreds of prefabs with different meshes - this is a pain )
