It is possible to reparent a skin mesh renderer? For example, i did a test where i have an imported animated model, then i import another model that has no animations but the same skeleton. If i unpack the prefab and drag and drop one of the skinned mesh renderers from one object to the other, i would expect the skinned mesh renderer in that piece to follow the bones on the new parent object since they have the same structure. But this doesn't happen, it still follows the bones of the old parent.

Even when i manually change the reference to the root bone to the corrsponding one in the new object, it doesn't follow the bones.

Do i need to do something else?
