I'm trying to rename a scene within a project. When I rename the scene it works fine, however when I save the project another scene is created with the old name. Is this a bug or do I have something in my project that requires the old name? (so a shortcut or duplicate is created)

    Thanks!

If you rename the scene that's currently open, then save that scene later before you reopen it under the new name, it will save a duplicate. Best way around it: create a new scene, then rename your scene, and reopen the scene under the new name (without saving your empty new scene.)

Or you can rename it, do a save-as, then save it over the renamed scene.

OK I was renaming the scene that was open. Now it makes perfect sense why it was doing that :)

    Thanks!
