Remove Spam in General Discussion Chat?

Hey so in Unity Connect's chats, the General Discussion channel especially, there's been a lot of spam messages. So much so that I can't load any chats anymore (at least I believe that's the reason why). Is there a way we can get some moderators or admins to clean up the spam (remove it from the chat)?

 

I think the bigger question is... why are we using what is basically a giant chat room to hire and offer freelancer services? The only format that makes sense is a forum.
