Unity Generalist, VR Training Simulations

Location – Baton Rouge, LA – Remote WFH

CREATE AN UNMATCHED VIRTUAL TRAINING EXPERIENCE

• Work with an independent studio on VR simulation training contracts
  
  
• Create engaging, hands-on training modules that teach at a pace unmatched by traditional methods
  
  
• Be part of an immersive virtual training method which builds confidence in a trainee’s knowledge, skills, and abilities

MAKE AN IMPACT

• Collaborate in a small team to design, develop and deploy high quality VR gameplay mechanics and spatial designs
  
  
• Refactor existing frameworks to improve workflow for internal and external teams
  
  
• Leverage existing Unity technologies and integrate with other industry standard tools
  
  
• Work closely with the other developers, designers, artists, producers, and QA to develop and polish features
  
  
• Tackle new challenges that arise during development

SHOW US YOUR SKILLS

• Advanced experience with the modern Unity game development engine
  
  
• XR/VR game development or immersive development experience
  
  
• Proficient C# development skills and an understanding of how to write performant, scalable and memory efficient code for a VR environment
  
  
• Excellent programming skills with solid understanding of software engineering techniques, methodologies and attention to detail
  
  
• Experience building foundational and reusable frameworks and platforms
  
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive working independently in a remote team environment
  
  
• Ability to find creative solutions to difficult problems while adhering to mature software development practices
  
  
• Development experience with version control software
