A brief update on the next pack, the Wasteland Explorer Destructible Kitchen.

    More WIP pics here: https://deadlyaccurate.artstation.com/projects/dRQoJ

I've modeled more than what is on my ArtStation page, like dinnerware, jars & canisters, trash can, spatulas, a toaster, a knife block, and countertops. I still need to do overhead cabinets, an oven/stove, pots & pans, and a few other things, and then I need to make the destructible versions of everything that needs it.

If you can think of something that belongs in a kitchen, feel free to suggest it. No guarantees, but I'll consider all suggestions.

This update still hasn't gone through. The Asset Store customer service rep says they're behind on approving changes. Apologies for the delay.

    KNOWN ISSUE:

Some models will import with an error message:

    ImportFBX Errors:
Framerate was set to 0.00, it's been reset to 1.0.
It doesn't affect the models or the package.

Hey there, I got the link to here from https://assetstore.unity.com/packag...land-explorer-destructible-living-room-140443

I am a bit unclear because of the wording in the description. The title and of course all the pics show it as a destructable environment, which it certainly looks as though if you were to buy this, it would be, but then at the bottom it says "The prefabs in this pack have been pre-configured to work seamlessly with the DestroyIt Destruction System. However, you don’t need to own DestroyIt to use the prefabs on their own. "

It says you don't need to own DestroyIt to use the prefabs, but does that mean that the prefabs within this are in fact destructable out of the box, or that if you buy this and don't have DestroyIt, you can still just use the prefabs but only as normal furniture that is non-destructable?

This. The package includes the meshes, Shuriken particle effects, and prefabs set up for DestroyIt. If you don't have DestroyIt, you can strip the Stub scripts off the prefabs and use them as normal furniture, though you may want to tweak them to have fewer colliders and remove the rigidbodies. You could also use your own destruction system with the meshes, of course.

Ah, I understand. I would like to kindly suggest perhaps clarifying that a bit if possible? As someone who was not really familiar with DestroyIt prior to now, the way it was advertised and worded made it seem like it would indeed work with DestroyIt if you wanted it to be part of a bigger system, but then if you don't have it, the "you don’t need to own DestroyIt to use the prefabs on their own." made it seem like they also had their own little destruction system out of the box they would use if you didn't have DestroyIt.

Sure, I can clarify that. I'll update the pack descriptions as soon as I can. Thanks!
