    Hi, prepurchase question, does this asset come with any form of vr stereoscopic viewer for unity that is not skybox based? The asset clearly from reviews and posts captures fantastically, but I also need a player for both stills and video.

    Hello, got a really simple scene with VR Panorama cam in HDRP.

    I overrided the 'auto exposure' with a fixed one but it's a different problem... What can I do?

    Hi @olix4242, I found the "VR Panorama 360 PRO Renderer" while searching for a capture system that would allow both simple and 360 images and videos rendering, and it seems to cover those needs.

    However, I don't see any details on how it gets the audio capture out. Which formats and which channel configurations and resolutions it supports?

    Also, can I use this tool to capture images and video that are not 360?

    By the way, the industrial/techno-metal band 360 video clip is awesome! \m/

    It supports ambisoncis encoding (a standard for 360 videos), but it requires you to have multichannel audio card set to quad output (4.0) that with some hardware might be tricky to setup (this is a limit of Unity audio system).

    You can also capture non 360 videos.

    Hi! I am using this plugin to render an animated 3d model with 360 video background, to export it as a compiled 360 video to Oculus Go.
    I am using Video Sync on the background 360 video, and VR Panorama on my Main Camera. I noticed that after some time, the background video becomes still while the 3d model animation continues when i render with VR Panorama.
    Is there a way to fix this? Am I doing something wrong?

    Mate, nice one.

    Was having same issue.
    Right eye rendering blurry.
    Adding a motion blur global overider, but then setting value to 0, removed the blurriness

    Hi, I've been testing the VR Panorama plugin pretty successfully the past few weeks. However I just tried doing my longest render yet overnight and the next morning the render had froze half way through, so I had to force quit unity. However now when I load up my project and try to re-render the VR panorama plugin is pausing on the first frame and not rendering at all. I've also noticed some errors being thrown. Any ideas?? Is ther emaybe some cache that VR Panorama creates that I need to delete? The game still plays fine with VR Panorama disabled, but now doing this whenever I try render. upload_2020-8-9_9-16-36.png

    I managed to get past the pause issue by unchecking "Error Pause" in the console. However the plugin is still messed up, when I try render the game plays in realtime and doesnt record at all. It also weirdly throws my camera angle way off too. So still something weird is going on.

    No biggie at all, but I;ve just bought and imported PanormaVR on my Unity 2019.3.15f1 (just before the LTS version), and the install/import gives the following errors in the console:


    Assets\VRPanorama\VRCapture.cs(1133,19): warning CS0219: The variable 'multiplySBS' is assigned but its value is never used
    Assets\VRPanorama\Scripts\FFmpegOut\CameraCapture.cs(24,50): warning CS0649: Field 'CameraCapture._shader' is never assigned to, and will always have its default value null
    Assets\VRPanorama\Editor\VRPanoramaMenu.cs(17,3): warning CS0618: 'PrefabUtility.DisconnectPrefabInstance(Object)' is obsolete: 'The concept of disconnecting Prefab instances has been deprecated.'
    There are inconsistent line endings in the 'Assets/VRPanorama/Shaders/FadeVR.shader' script. Some are Mac OS X (UNIX) and some are Windows.
    This might lead to incorrect line numbers in stacktraces and compiler errors. Many text editors can fix this using Convert Line Endings menu commands.

    I appreciate you can't test every version - but I just thought I should let you know. I have not yet tried the tool !

    Hallo OLI !
    Congrats for this magnificent plugin...
    Oli, I have an "issue" when trying to render 360 Eq Stereo.
    I get everything pretty much great except that the "Botton" View ( rendered ) is really blured, like is some motion blur would be applied...

    This is caused by post processing motion blur. Be sure to turn off motion blur in post processing volume.

    Yes you can. But I wouldn't advise to do so. DOF isn't really confortable in VR.

    You might try to delete VR capture component, and set again. I would also try re-importing VR panorama package (by deleting it first)

    If the Transparency option is set, transparent wireframes will appear in sequence frames. cry for help

    Hi, why are you using transparenncy option? Of you are using it, you have to set your camera to solid background color with alpha set to 0. It can't work with sky background.

    Yes, it should work mostly.. not sure about reflection planes as I don't remember now when unity made a fix for issue with reflection planes.

    Hello. I'm having a problem viewing the new MP4 rendered from a capture. In Windows10 when I try to play i get an error that says "Can't Play... This item is in a format we don't support." Also the thumbnail doesn't show an image preview like all my other tests. I was able to play all previous renders successfully but now I'm not sure what the problem is.

    Here's what I did differently with this one:
    1. I tried Equi-Mono at 8192 x 4096 as PNG.
    2. 16 quality
    3. I tried 8800 frames but only 8798 actually came out.
    So the MP4 was created by VRPanorama and I was also able to inject it.. but again, no thumbnail image and not able to play. I thought it might be that my system and video card are really for full HD and not 4k/8k. Could my own hardware be the issue. Just as a test I also tried viewing it in my video editing software (Davinci Resolve - free version) but it also isn't recognized there. I have Final Cut Pro X on my Mac laptop but I don't think my laptop can handle this large video format.

    I have all the images I need for the sequence, it would be really amazing if I could just re-compile them.
    My next intention is to do post production audio on the 360 video. So ultimately, I need the best quality for a final version but also a lightweight version that I can put into my audio program. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi, it really could be because 8k encoding png's require big abounts of ram, so if there isn't enough, your video could become corrupted.
    Why don't you open image sequence directly in resolve and then encode right from there Nd see what happens?
    I think that you also have to pinpoint if this is a file problem or player problem. Some players can't cope with 8k.

    Thanks for the tip. It's my first time ever dealing with anything larger than standard HD. Importing the image sequence directly worked easily and immediately. So the images work. Unfortunately because I have the free version of Davinci I am not able to export anything larger than 4K. I can definitely line up the audio with a smaller optimized version of the video BUT would be ideal if I could use VRPanorama to finalize, encode and inject the MP4. Any further thoughts on this? thanks

    • AMD Ryzen 7 1700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor

    • Purecolor Radeon RX580 Red Devil 8GB
    • be Quiet! L7 Pure Power 650w PSU

    What I've done is, line up the audio in Davinci and exported the Audio Only. I wish to rename the file to "VR_Sequence.wav" like VRPanorama already does. In theory, could it work if I put my file into the sequence folder and re-compile using your asset? My imagination says that perhaps the 8K file would adopt my new audio?

    UPDATE: I solved my viewing issue but still cannot quite connect the audio using VR Panorama Asset. Dear Oli, can you please let me know if there's a way to add my own custom audio by renaming the file using your encoder? I know it says I can in the user guide but I still can't hear it unfortunately.

    I have a question and trying to figure out what may be causing a video playing in the background while doing a 360 capture is forcing the playback of the video in the background to speed up? I have a video playing on a texture and while doing the capture of the 360 video while it's playing is speeding the video up like it is fast forwarding. I have FPS at 30 and captured at different resolutions and 4K but not sure how to keep the video in the background to play at its normal pace

    Hi, when dealing with video textures, you should add VideoSync.cs script to your video player. It will help syncining your video to VRPanorama.

    In version 2019.4.11f1(HDRP), even if the rendering is completed, errors are output to the console and the operation does not stop automatically. The operation does not stop until I press the Esc key and the Play button.
    If I check "Open Destination Folder", the Finder will be active endlessly even if I try to activate Unity.
    (It worked fine in version 2017)
    OS: MacOSX 10.14 mojave

    There is a difference from the game view when rendering in panorama.
    I composed the scene using Enviro Asset.
    Do you happen to know how to solve this problem?
    And the panoramic image shows a blue line that looks like the border of a cube map.
    I also want to know how to solve this problem.

    Currently, my terrain is 8km x 8km, and I checked "Use Depth Buffer," "HQ Steero Stitch," and set the value of "Environment Distance" to 7.

    And using "Unity 2019.4 / Built-in Render."

    EDIT.
    After many tests, I found a solution.
    Postprocessing Layer - Anti-aliasing - Mode - FXAA
    Activate 'Keep Alpha'
    Or
    Use different modes (TAA or SMAA)

    In the documentation it says realtime works for 1080p. is it possible to adjust the code to make realtime work in 4k? I am attempting to output a pixel perfect 4K equirectangular projection through HDMI while live editing inside of Unity.

    Hi, Just bought this asset and ran into some issues, at first i couldn't get VSPro to show up in the renders. This was because of a setting in VSPro. For those facing the same issue : disable Render direct to camera and set culling to complete 360.
    Then I had some trees render completely black leaves, this was solved by using a different shader for those leaves.
    But now my last issue and i cant find a setting or solution to resolve this.
    When rendering a 360 stereo image the left eye image renders fine but the right eye image has some strange things going on. The Fog is strange on distant trees and there seems to be some aplha thing going on in other places where trees get a black color. It looks like its cut of at the terrain level. It's the same in Stereo and in Stereo SBS.
    Is there something i'm missing?

    Update:
    Been testing some more and found a workaround.
    It appears the first frame has this render problem. When rendering an animation the problem dissapears in the second frame. So don't render a single frame 3d in 360.

    Yes, sometimes that happens, as Unity needs few frames to warm-up (for all scripts, lights, and image effects to start)

    You should add constraint to a parent object of a VR camera. Otherwise it will mess transforms of a cameras that are used for rendering.

    Another question is:
    I use Unity 2020.1 and URP ,with VR camera the post-processing bloom has no effect, but the scenes and game window looks good.

    Hiya @olix4242 how important is it to have a capture card for RT stereo 360 capture.
    I cant seem to get a video to save any information, I just get a blank 1kb Mp4. Im using 2019.4 URP
    Also am I missing a recording and save function or does it record on play mode for allocated time?

    Hello Olix. I'm using 2020.2 HDRP and I'm getting this error:

    Assets\VRPanorama\VRCapture.cs(13,19): error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'VR' does not exist in the namespace 'UnityEngine' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

    I tried using the URP fix and still not resolving it.

    This happens fue to some changes in Unity. Just delete a line that gives you this error. (mentioning VR). If any other error pops up, delete also those lines.

    You can hardly record a 360 stereo in realtime (but this depends on complexity of your scene) without having a really fast system. But I don't think that this is your problem.

    Yes, it records a number of frames that are defined in a VR Capture script.
