I suspect that like the ICE developer, he is inundated with support requests, some not from actual buyers of his asset. I have talked to publishers who spend 5-6 hours a day on support. In order to complete the update while maintaining a real life, he has to hide away. He comes here and I bet 10 questions follow asking him to put something in, integrate something, or fix something for their particular game. Unfortunately, I doubt he has a customer service team.
