    Hello,
    I found this asset today and was overwhelmed. This is the most complete and impressive (survival) game template so far!
    I was searching for good assets which could help me with my project in the future, I found some but there were always problems. Sometimes it looked good but the developer has given up and didn't support his asset anymore. Other assets were awesome but had some parts which weren't good enough for my needs.
    THIS, ladies and gentlemen, will instantly be buyied. I never bought any asset before, but for 50 god damn $ you get all of this stuff! :eek:

    I love you. And I always loved the Far cry series and the character controller of it. Even more I loved how the bow worked, it was my favorite weapon in each game and it was the hotkey number one.
    It always looked so real when you hitted an enemy with an arrow, what, hopefully, is in your asset either. The spear system is worth for a second session of fapping. I LOVE IT!

    Thank you for this. I will buy it as soon it will be released and use it for my project. Please, keep up the good work and supporting and always be there for your customers, they/we need you and your team. :):rolleyes:

    Ahh, I forgot some questions I had. They are down below.
    1. Does this asset has a real character model (and can we may see it if we look down?), because in your last video I couldn't see any shadows of the character model but the trees shadows were there. I know that many FPS haven't any character models but I would like to see one (e. g. like in battlefield).
    2. If there is a model (or you will add one in further updates) will it be possible and easy to change the model and still use every future?
    3. Can we adjust every element/icon/... of the GUI how we want it? For example, move a window to the other site or the character menu to the upper right corner?
    4. Do you want to make some example presets? Now everything is equal to rust, even the waiting time when you craft an arrow or something else. Now you craft something and you can still do stuff. E. g. in the game "The Long Dark" you craft something and the time passes and you can do nothing else until you finished it completely. Do you like the idea? Can this be implemented easily?
    5. Can the customer mail you and ask for some help with his project if he want? Do you try to help or not, because of no time or something else?
    6. Do you want to implement more Stats-Features? I mean currently there are
    • Health
    • Hunger
    • Thirst
    • Stamina
    What about:
    • Temperature (cold/heat)
    • Broken bodyparts?
    In my opinion this would be nice improvements! :)

    Yeah there will be, in 1.1, we even have a scope prepared for the Bolt Action Rifle, we're thinking to implement a simple system for attachments too:

    Please add Urinate and S*** as stats for pissing and dumping. No other game has that !!!! :D

    * Altough we're using Far cry and other games as inspiration, obviously we can't achieve the same level of polish and smoothness as them, because of various reasons. At least not in 1.0, I want to polish and polish the controller until I achieve Far Cry - level, in the future, there's just not enough time, those guys were in large numbers. (20, 50, 300, etc)

    1. It doesn't have a character model yet, it's scheduled for v1.1. See the roadmap in the first post!
    2. Yes, sure, something as basic as changing a model is the first thing we're making sure works well.
    3. Yes you can, it's flexible enough, here I switched the Crafting and Character "window" and everything works well:



    4. We're going to make more example presets in the future, right now we only have time for Rust-like survival game.
    5. Yes, the customer can ask for help if it's linked with our asset, he can mail us, talk on Skype, or even have us repair things through Team Viewer.
    6. We intend to create more stats, including body temperature ,areas of different temperature, and make it linked to te current time of day.

    This asset has a lot of potential because the only survival game asset that's out there right now that hasn't been abandoned is UnitZ, and UnitZ doesn't have that many features.

    Was your character controller created using raycast based system? i hate using rigidbody because it make me a headache alot :D

    Hi, it uses the character controller component to allow total control over the movement.

    When a lot of assets get updated it breaks any current changes to a developers game/code. Any thoughts on best practice/design to avoid this when the asset is released. Basically I want to prevent having to reinvent the wheel if I make any changes. Thanks.

    Inheriting from their classes to override or add new behavior is usually the best option, assuming it's developed in a way this is possible.
    Next best option would probably be making copies of their files you want to change and point at your changed files.
    If you put these outside of the asset's folder, they won't be erased/overwritten when updating the asset.
    Of course, your changes may not work depending upon what changes the developer made but at least they won't be gone.

    No one knows when. It was delayed from 5 december to now, but they're polishing it so it will take some time. I just want it to release, F*** it when, I just need it badly to my game.
    Probably $50 like he said earlier but that price can go higher in the future. I hope, my game budget is getting low, I won't afford more :/

    Kavz is right, 50$ version 1.0, and we re working hard to wrap the first version up. Future updates will arrive faster.

    50 $ !!! Sincerely this price I see it very well, I am not a programmer, I do not dedicate myself to the development of games, I´m character animator, but I love survival games, so much that I would like to do my own and publish it free for the one who wants, This asset is exactly what I need and I was looking for, I want to try it and see what possibilities it has, I think it's going to be great !!!

    Any updates about publishing? You're saying "we re working hard to wrap the first version up", but would you say that publishing is possible in the next week? Because as I remember you said once that it only takes 5-10 days anymore.

    Of course, why not? I'll send the asset for review on 15th this month. Save & Load system will come in version 1.1. Main Menu in 1.3. See the roadmap in the first post :)

    When i was watching the video's you uploaded i didn't see any ammo for the weapons? will they have ammo?

    They have ammo now, altough they re displaying and using whatever amount you have in the inventory. No reload for 1.0 as I didn't have time to complete the reload anims, absolutely coming in 1.1 or even in 1.0x

    Can't wait for this asset but eventhough i might get it now I know for sure i will wait until v1.3 before i start using it. I have a bad experience with my Save/Load scripts so having that included will be great.

    Can you provide details on the day/night cycle functionality please? Will it be pretty basic lighting or have stars, dynamic clouds, etc.?

    Basic functionality for now, we didn't think it was necessary to develop something more advanced, as there are plenty of assets which deal with it. (eg. Time Of Day), our simple system is intended for prototyping. Altough not complicated at all (to integrate), we'll have integrations with a few day & night cycle assets in the future.

    HI there,

    - i was just wondering if there's any updates on the release date

    - and is there is any random map item spawner like on Christmas, for example, you can place random Christmas gifts for the players to find

    - and can we add that when the player spawn he would have some items in his inventory

    - if we buy the asset once would we have to pay for every update
    - and if the multiplayer was realised would it be a stand-alone asset like the Ufps photon asset it cost 15 $ more or would it be included with the asset

    and really good work and I want to buy so please any new realise date cuz tomorrow is my birthday so my be i can get 50$ for the asset :)

    - No updates yet, the asset will be sent on around 15th, and I'll let you know when it gets accepted.
    - Sure, you can specify that:


    - I think the ONLY update that will require extra charging, will be the 1.2 (multiplayer update)
    - It'll be included with the asset, everything will be in one package, like a complete-game.

    So the first version is 50$, and the multiplayer version will be priced at around 60 - 65. And the update will cost 10 - 15

    I'm excited but I'll probably not buy until at least 1.2 because there are too many assets where a lot was promised but a small portion of that was delivered before the asset was abandoned.

    What would happen if we purchased the asset for $50 when it was released, and then the multi-player version was released.

    Would we have to pay $65 or just $15?

    I would like to know this as I would like my game to be multi-player.

    You said 1.2 version will be paid, but how it will be with people only with standard version? They will have 1.1, 1.3, 1.4 etc.? Or you will seperate that 1.2 version as just "Multiplayer" and you will go 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 (not mp), 1.3 normally?

    Nothing will be separate:

    1.0 - 50$
    1.1 - 50$ (free upgrade)
    1.2 - 60$ (10$ upgrade) - multiplayer update
    1.3 - 60$ (free upgrade)
    1.4+ - I'm not sure, time will tell

    Basically we're releasing this first version as a "preview", and then, with the features from 1.1, and all the bug fixing, and the multiplayer update, we're raising it to about 60$, which will be more than a fair price, considering all of the above, and the upcoming updates (1.3+).

    * I'm going to make the Trello page public, and link it here, after I submit the first version, so everyone can see the progress, and how things are being solved / implemented every day.
