[released] tvOS Menu Creator - official support thread - v1.0.1

Today we proudly announce the availability of tvOS Menu Creator. Its goal is to create a perfect tvOS-style menu system in a few clicks.

While getting input from Siri remote is not so different from getting input from a standard touch surface, creating a full menu system can be a tedious and time-consuming task.

You can get it from Unity's Asset Store via this link.



Key features of current version:

- supports icon wobbling when large icons are focused
- can have different types of buttons: focus & select, toggles, etc.
- simple message-based architecture allowing easy integration into existing projects, super easy implementation in brand new projects
- language-agnostic: can be used with both C# and UnityScript projects
- customize built-in sample or create your own menu from scratch

If you are designing a new game for Apple's new tvOS or you are adapting an old game to this new platform then this asset is definitely for you !

Important note:
asset requires Unity version 5.3.1 or above (needed anyway if you want to compile for Apple TV device)

 

@acme3D how does input work in your plugin? When you swipe on the remote, does it move one button as a time? Or is it accelerated movement? (Swipe fast to scroll across multiple menu items in one gesture).
