Hi Guys, unfortunately, for some reason, Heartbroken not interested in this wonderful project, but I experimented and changed the available physics data outside the Truss library. And adapting my vehicle controller to work with the truss.
This project running in PS4 and I tested truss in the dev kit PS5 and after some modifications perfect work.

 

Cool!, will you make your changes etc public or do you have other plans?

 

To my great regret, this cannot be a public work until Heartbroken agrees to it, he is the author of the physics package, and the asset was purchased by me only for review and I really enjoyed working with it. From what I can tell, the TrussPhysics asset is built on some physics data from RigsOfRods and heavily modified. If any of the guys here have physics code skills I would recommend checking out the ROR git-repository, it is a great sample of soft body physics.

That's really interesting actually, I partially ported the RoR physics engine into Unity, except the actual mesh deforming part, and started working on a built in editor for it.

Has anyone been able to get this working in the newer versions of Unity (2021.3.3)? I've made the suggested adjustments to the scripts from Heartbroken and have no errors, but still having issues such as:

-not being able to create new truss assets,
-not being able to select multiple nodes in the truss editor by dragging,
-not being able to set constraints and also
-crashing on clicking play/run.

There may be other things not working but unfortunately due to it crashing Unity on run I haven't been able to find anything else out. but if anyone's been able to get it working can you point me in the right direction?
