    Hi.

Are you in need for a 3D procedural map of stars in your game?

Do you want to be able to generate beautiful night skies for your game with usable star position data?

Do you want your players to be able to fly freely through the stars?

    Welcome to the universe generator.

Its something that I've been working on for about Three years in the hopes of eventually making my own game from it and its finally released.

It can perform well on low end systems by baking out galaxies in the background, or using heavy subsampling. It still requires shader modle 5.0 though.

It features a telescopic coordinate system that eliminates floating point errors in your scene. The focus object needs to be pinned to whatever object you wish to have the universe move around and its movements will control the scene around you.

When you come to a stop, a skybox will be generated of the scene around you. You can save the position you need to be in and input them to instantly generate a new place. Also you can edit galaxies in certain positions if you need to.

There is an atmosphere shader that you can use to respond to nearby planets and make natural day night cycles.

The Universe Generator now has real documentation!

Apologies for the shameful documentation before.

This looks extremely interesting. The high price is a bit of a shock - since there are many space-themed toolkits and assets now available.

Yours certainly offers something different however and I would be very interested to hear how far you have come with planetary systems as an integrated feature? I'm a little bit on the fence as I currently own Space toolkit and that has come quite far with lifesized procedural planet generation.

DO you have any updates on how the eventual ecosystem of your tools will look and the roadmap for that?. Thanks.

Its currently possible to insert your own planetary systems with a little bit of coding knowledge but developing an integrated one has been put on hold for now. Hopefully i can get in to the Christmas sale which would help with the price a bit.

The Universe Generator is very different from the Space Toolbox. It primarily does galaxies, skyboxes and uniquely, can provide that no man sky level of scale and beyond with reliable star positions. As well as a randomizer that you can feed in each set of coordinates to spit out random numbers for you. Which you can then use to construct what you want to find at each star system, but that would require your own coding knowledge from that point.
