    1. The lever core is a transform (recommended to be a child of the lever transform) used a reference point for the rotation calculation i.e the script calculates how much lever core has rotated from the default rotation



    In that image;
    a. Control Stick: This is the 3D model for visual purposes
    b. Lever Core: explained above
    c. Lever Handle: The collider used for hand collision detection




    2. You can now connect the configured levers to the aircraft controller

    Why don't you have an example asset for a Jet?
    Like, it would make it much easier to have assets from a Jet F22, F35, Mig, etc...
    Please put saves time and so we can actually see the script running in its real modes.

    Hi,

    The 2018, 2019 and 2020 versions of the asset come with the "Performance Jet" setup that is based on the F-16 structure.

    Hello, I'll check ...
    But why not have a working JET model?
    Why this resistance to putting the main function as an example?
    Like, it's a set for fighter planes and has no functional model

    The performance jet is Just the F-16 without the 3D model



    The demos are specifically chosen to fit multiple modes without having individual scenes e.g The A-29 serves as a demo for Turboprop + Propeller powered aircraft sample while the A-10 serves as a Turbojet + Reaction powered aircraft sample.

    The helicopter rotor system can now be fully configured on the "Rotor" component without having to individually set up each blade. The blade properties and shape will be calculated automatically.

    Kind of, but your spacecraft will fly and be controlled like a normal aircraft :)
    If you want full realistic spaceflight dynamics, I'll advice getting a dedicated system for that.

    Hi, how good would this package be for implementing a more arcadey flight model like Ace Combat? What options should i specifically be looking at to replicate such a flight model? Hopefully you've played Ace Combat in the past so you can answer this question. A lot of the systems look incredibly complex!

    You can technically get something working with the current tools, but you'll have to make some compromises.

    But I'm currently researching some new methods that might touch on the simulation of flexible wings. Do you have any simulation or aerodynamic data that might be of help?

    It seems that autopilot is avoiding flying in altitude 180...
    try to change altitude from 170 to 190 degrees and it goes through 0

    Wow, that's a rotation problem I didn't see coming.

    The current system uses a signed float angle to determine the heading error. So the angle goes from 0 to +180 and 0 to -180, which means moving from 180 to 181 on the heading command will actually mean going from +180 to -180 in the FCS. The problem is that the heading control is very sensitive to the sign of the error. and uses it to determine what direction to turn.

    I'll need to adjust the heading control to use the standard 0 to 360 command angle

    Kind of. The included weapons are placeholders to use as a base for developing custom versions i.e There is a gun you can shoot, rockets you can fire and missiles that can track targets

    Yes, the model isn't included in the asset (It's from a private project). But everything you need to configure the helicopter is included in the asset.

    In the setup tutorial, the only change you have to make is to have two rotors marked as "Coaxial" with each set as either "Upper" or "Lower" (The rotor position)

    I see it has been asked before. But if you ever add a paraglider to this asset, I think you will be the first and something I have seen many people request before. :)

    Probably. The problem has always been getting enough information to design the mathematical model. I'm currently working on some "core dynamics" stuff that might make it easier to integrate in the future.
