Will change and updated this later

Hello, I have bought this awesome, amazing, excellent and very high quality and lovely asset that gives such beautiful and well done effects, and is really creative and works well, and the video and demo scene is really spectacular

But there is just only one problem, and is just that there is no documentation or any guide on how to use it and I am not able to understand how it works.

I have seen that it has a beautiful custom inspector well done but I am sorry that I do not know how to use it, and how to configure it.

Also I am sorry that do not understand how to apply this effects to my own meshes, or how to convert my own meshes to be used with Shapes FX.

I have already put a review on asset store and will change it when you can help me

    COULD BE USED IN 2019.2.2?

This is for 2019.3 but I am working with 2019.2.2 because in my project there is something incompatible with 2019.3 so I can not update to 2019.3, please I want to ask if I can load it in 2019.3 and then export it to a package and load it in 2019.2.2.

I wish you all the best and that many more people is able to find and buy this really wonderful asset, although misses the information on how to use and is a great pity that you spent much time to make this awesome asset, but no time on how to use it use, and hope that you can be so kind to help me learn how it works

IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH MOBILE IOS AND ANDROID?

Also I have not tested it, but my project is a mobile game ? Will test it myself and will modify this when I test it.

Thanks very much for you help and for making this asset

    H SpaceRAY,

First of All , Thanks you a lot for the kind words , really it means the world me :) .

I understand your point and you're totally right about this . so i will clarify your points:

1- yeah i think that i need to add a documentation to help , its my bad , i assumed everyone can play with it without having a documentation because in the end its just a shader on a mesh so i tried to expose parameters in the Custom GUI inspector to help with a good parameters name. but i have to add a documentation in the future , i promise :)

2- the shader works just on the Meshs present inside the Pack , they are specialones because i already pre-backed some data inside them to communicate well with the shader. i have a lo of customers already who are happy with this but i have some people like you who want to apply this on their meshs. so the plan is im making a course to explain how we can create this kind of meshs.if you want you can subscribe to my newsletters (www.orangedkeys.com) to be updated about this :) (and maybe receiving some gifts ;))

3- yeah it works on 2019.2 (it was originaly created on this version), if you need it to work on different Render Pipeline you have the unitypackage File for every RP version of the shader inside the shader folder , but i guess in your case it already works fine.(if anything doesnt work well you can contact me and it will be a pleasure to help you on that :contact@orangedkeys.com)

4- yeah, it supports the mobiles , have already a lot of people using it , and a lot of theme are Mobile GameDev . and no one poke me about compatibility issue so far. so i assume everything is fine :)

and again thanks a lot for the feedback and the really awesome message .

Hello, thanks very much for your very fast and detailed and long answer, explaining all I was asking, and now I understand it better. I already knew that it was using custom special meshes because when I tried to use any normal mesh it did not work and seeing the resources and files it was included I have seen that the meshes included are special ones.

Thanks for understanding that some more explanation would be needed as some things are not clearly to be guessed how they work, very good news that there will be added some kind of documentation in the future.

I understand that many people would be happy with these meshes alone, and not need more, but if I want for example to use this shader for simple basic meshes

I have already exported from 2019.3 to 2019.2.2 and it works correctly, so I will tell you more when I make some more tests and see more how it works

    Thanks. best regards.

    Hello,
I bought "Shapes FX Pack": it's really cool!
Like SpaceRAY, I would also like to apply this effect on my meshes. I usually work with simple meshes and hope to do it. I understand that I have to prepare my mesh by replacing each polygon with a disconnected mesh with the same shape. But I think I have problems with the definition of normals. The behavior of your shader on my meshes is not what I expect. I hope you will give us directions on how to build meshes using standard 3D software (such as the now dead XSI and the lively blender) and export them in fbx format for Unity. Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, Yep , I'm working on a small tutorial to help figure out how I made these meshs , the only thins is I'm using Houdini to create these. but anyway I guess people can translate this operations to other 3D Software.you can subscribe to my newsletters to be updated about this.

    Cheers

Good to know that there could be a possible way custom to make meshes ourselves, what I mean is to use simple basic shapes like a cylinder, a pyramid or a long rectangular cube, or for example a rectangular shape like a wood plank.

    stay healthy and safe

Thanks very much for your help and wish you all the best and give my big congratulations for making thupis awesome asset that is really beautiful and creative

Hello, I have just bought the Shapes FX Pack V2 and think is really awesome, creative and very well done. And is different and even more varied than this one and this is good to have two totally different ones. You are really an expert and artistic creator to make this kind of things
