I'm proud to release the definitive solution for making classic FPS games.

    Retro Character Controller

Following the battle-tested formula of character movement from games like Quake and Half-Life, you can achieve the same movement fluidity found on those games.

    Featuring:
    • Fast and smooth movements
    • Slope sliding.
    • Bunnyhopping.
    • Air-strafing.
    • Surfing.
    • Crouching.
    • Box Collider.
    • Climb on ladders.
    Get the asset now!

With every other character controller I've tried, the capsule shape causes the player to slope off hard edges (since the bottom of the player is a curve), does this use a non-rotating box method as Quake effectively does (through raycasting, and Doomguy is essentially a rectangle rather than a box or capsule) to ensure no sloping/easing off edges, but rather a nice hard drop?

Why was it removed from the assetstore, author? It was quite a unique thing and i liked it.
