    PDG Scorpion Island

    What is this?
You get a scorpion-shaped tropical island for quick prototyping or further customization in no time!.

Add props and vegetation, use your own detail textures to get the look you want – or choose
from 4 different 4K res. textures, included in this asset.

A Mobile-friendly, low-poly mesh (below 3000 tris) is also included, a custom skybox for that
tropical mood is provided on top!

This asset is Marmoset Skyshop ready, skyshop owners can make use of the provided .hdr skies to light unity scenes and get some nice reflections on objects - all based on life-like lighting emitted from the skyboxes.

Hey i have looked at both these islands before (thinking about buying) but the web demo appears to be down and the main thing i want to know is how big the islands are?

Hi, I´ve updated the link, it works now. Run into some trouble, when changing the provider some time ago
and I have to fix a few things. Website will be re-launched and much more responsive and interactive, soon!

The demo is the same as for "Foot Island". There is no big difference, because of same textures, etc.
But to get a feel for the terrain, it will do.

Size of the island - well, it can be any size, you like, because it can be scaled.
I do not know the exact scale of it, to be honest - but I will take a look, when I return to my PC
(I am on the road right now)

    Cheers!

Sorry for the late reply - got on chance to check it until next week (Monday)
AFAIR, I designed the islands like 100x100km, detail wise... But for the exact px/m ratio
, I have to check the original files

Ok, so I´ve found out: Island was in deed created 100x100km with 98m/px detail-scale ratio.
In Unity the heightfield is 2049x2049px res, with the smallest brush you could manipulate 2px afaik...

So the island is - well "a bigger scale", which is best supported with some additional detail-meshes and so on, if you wish.
Depends, on how you want to use it for.

I suggest you take a look at the web-demo, to get a feel for it.

    Kind Regards
