    Native Plugin (iOS, Android)

    Hello everyone. We would like to present our Unity3D Native Plugin (iOS, Android).
    This plugin serves as an easy-to-use bridge for calling native Android OS and iOS methods.

    Capabilities:

    • Native dialogs
    • Dialog rate application
    • Local notification
    • Device up time
    • Vibration
    • Short notifications (Toast message)
    • Fullscreen mode (Immersive mode)

    Immersive mode functions on versions of android higher than 4.4.
    This plugin does not redefine “Activity Unity3D”. It can be safely used with plugins from the asset store.

    Available on the Asset Store || Documentation

    Hi there,

    I'm a game developer in a an independent studio and we actually bought your plugin to put a hand on local notifications. Its works quite fine and I thank you for that. However, we're facing kind of annoying issues that we can't figure out (for now we just implemented it on android platform)

    First of them is that a notification is fired while the game is running but it shouldn't, so the phone rings and vibrates and that's annoying. Is there anything specific we can do about it ?

    The second issue is that when we touch a notification in the "notification center" the game is not called and does not open, this is maybe a major issue that we need to fix.

    Third and finally, the icon that joins the notification isn't our app icon, its a kind of a unity default one ! Are we missing something around this ?

    Thank you for your time and for your product. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Best regards

    Hello, DaMex. We answered you by e-mail. We tested the plugin again. All work perfectly.

    Good news. We have uploaded new update. We fixed push notification for iOS for Unity 5. But we need to wait until the update is approved. If you don`t want to wait, you can add this fragment to Native Plugin.cs file manually.
    Code (CSharp):
    1. #if UNITY_IPHONE && UNITY_5
    2. using UnityEngine.iOS;
    3. #endif

    Is the NativePlugin dialog a blocking dialog? In other words, does execution stop until after the dialog button is clicked or tapped.?

    If not, is there a way to write my code so that the dialog is modal and will block?

    Currently, we are having code continue to execute when the dialog appears, sometimes we get two dialogs that overlay each other.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Does NativePlugin allow for custom vibration duration?

    http://developer.android.com/reference/android/os/Vibrator.html
    Our implementation only:
    public void vibrate (long milliseconds)
    It is available for android only, iOS is not support custom vibration duration.
