    Today or tommorow, assetstore will give you access to new version 1.5. It is 1000x faster when you work with huge terrain heightmap resolutions. Don't forget to update it;)

    Terrain Brush Question:
    How could i go about importing a large RAW file across multiple terrains? In Unity I can import a RAW onto 1 terrain, but say I want to import a LARGE heightmap and map it to 4 or 9 or 16 terrains. Maybe this is a feature request because breaking my image into 9 or 16 pieces in photoshop is possible, and I could import each one and terrain stitch any errors. Thanks for any tips :)

    How big heightmap you want? You could work on multiple tiles with huge heightmap at world creator. Im not sure if tiling is available but it should be;). Check it;)

    I have a quick question - Multiple Terrain Brush has an edge stitcher feature, is it the same as the separate Terrain Stitcher asset pack?

    Multiple Terrain Brush have edge stitcher as brush (smooth tool). It's not the same, it's 1000x faster.

    I have a question... When I paint the terrains, how many textures which terrain will have if I use many textures??

    Image the situation that I use only 4 texture per terrain, but lot's of textures... How many of them will in each terrain???

    Hi
    Basically this work like normal unity terrain brush and you paint by layers. So when you paint using layer 1, system will cover your terrain by texture from slot 1 on both terrains.

    Tool will be released in version 2.0 in period of few weeks. It will be much much faster and also it will get more features.

    Another great tool. Makes it able to make great looking multiterrain levels with minimal fuss and work. Glad you updating this:)

    If megasplat use unity terrain splats and system then yes;)

    It does, but makes use of texture arrays to allow for up to 256 textures on a terrain, I wasn't sure if the two tools would be compatible.

    We paint by layers not textures so if megasplat support unity splatmaps it will work;)

    Following up on the reply you posted to my review... the brush has very significant lag even with a size of 1 or 2. Larger brush sizes get even slower, I'm really looking forward to version 2.0.

    I'm assuming that with splat in the name they do, thanks for the info... that's something I may need to pick up down the road...

    This isn't working for me in any scene other than the tutorial. Terrain thickness is set to 1. Projector seems to be working but can't paint or use deformation tools. No console errors or warnings. Unity 5.5.1f1. Any ideas?

    *update, the problem seems to be with certain terrains and maybe how they are arranged, so nothing to do with the scene. I can edit terrains in an arrangement along the z axis only, however if I arrange them along the x axis the tools don't work, or will only work for one terrain.

    Every time I use ctrl+z to undo something it bugs out the program and makes it completely unusable.

    after I use ctrl+z and try to edit it, no matter how low i set the height or opacity, the slightest brush will create massive mountains that are cut off at the sides like a chunk error.

    Importing an Array of Heightmpaps or a huuuuge heightmap would be amazing ;)

    I need to place about a 10x10 terrain grid, but when i Ctrl+D a terrain it will use the same TerrainData from the original terrain.. you can immagine what happen :rolleyes:

    Is there some fast ways to create the grid with unique terrainData for each terrain?

    How can I set a component for each tile?
    For example I need to assign RTP to 100 tiles, I've to do it by hand? :eek:

    Hi !

    I am working on a project with a long and narrow terrain.
    Because non square terrain support is not working in unity (well it does, but heightmaps and splatmaps are still square, causing everything to squash) I have to use 32 terrains that are 8 x 8. Now I have 2 problems with the tool. First of all, even size 1 brush is massive. Secondly it seems to be extremely slow, to the point is is not usable. Finally, it would be great to be able to change terrain settings in bulk. Do you have a solution to this ?

    Hello,

    Just picked up Multiple Terrain Brush, and I am having an issue with unwanted square displacement in the heightmap.
    Any thoughts into the issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    i'm experiencing the same issues as c0ld_b0re. Suddenly after the last update i start to notice :

    1/ Unwanted squares and artefacts when i try to change the terrain elevation 2 times in the same spot (1 time everything work fine. You stop the editing mode and Start it again let's say to adjuste the terrain elevation again => i start to get wirred squares and artefacts on the previously edited terrain spot)

    2/ When painting the brush is not precise at all ! sometime it paint in the center of the circle (expected behaviour) and other time it paint on edges....

    Of course all of this happen in Unity 2017.1.1 :)

    Thank you for the quick fix as usual !

    Thank you very much! Been waiting for this too. I just noticed with the updated version though the brush size doesn't scale with the actual size selected. The effect on the terrain is correct but the blue brush always looks the same size.

    Never mind, must be a one off, I'm getting a lot of odd things happening on Linux, also running out of memory with all these terrains so it could be anything. Thanks for checking.

    Do you plan on adding tree/detail support? This has all been really useful :p
