    It's still a little too early. But we will not fail to show you our new project. However, I can say that it is not a car project. :)

    Yea very interested what you have cooked up for us this time :). Well and some shop maybe for tires, light/lamps(dark scenes or night ones), ammo and such things. Changing colors of the car as example. Monetization in general. Well we have wishes what should i say :).

    I am having problems with the mesh combiner in this kit, attached screenshot showing some of the settings and problems.
    You can see in the editor window that the ketchup and juice bottle textures are destroyed with grey speckle patterns. There are other objects missing entirely (this scene is the default 'Kitchen' track provided with the environment pack)... so you can compare with that to see which ones. And other objects are stretched and twisted in bizarre ways.

    I have followed the instructions in the pdf exactly. In order to avoid huge groups I collected objects on each surface into separate groups (tablecloth_grp_01, etc). The meshcombinertwo script was added to each group and then the combine button pressed to do the conversion.

    Are there any known problems or limitations with the meshcombiner (other than the large surface restrictions mentioned in the documentation)? Please help asap, this project is otherwise nearly ready to release and this was one of the last tasks required.

    Hi,

    Is there a way to change acceleration value per vehicle?

    Is there a way to display vehicle name or stats at the select screen?

    Great great asset by the way!

    Hi, 3CHO12. Happy to read that you like Minicar Race creator :) .

    Is there a way to change acceleration value per vehicle?

    -In the Project tab select a car prefab (spot 1) (Project Tab -> MCR Creator -> Assets -> Prefabs -> 01_Cars ->)
    -In the Inspector change the car Max speed parameter.
    (You need to do these two steps for each car you want to modify)

    For each track it is also possible to change car AI speed depending the difficulty:
    4-Tuto 3 : Setup and/or modify car AI (documentation page 25)

    Is there a way to display vehicle name or stats at the select screen?
    Sorry but for the moment it is not possible.

    Hi Pierre,

    I like this mini car asset.

    but as many people said here,
    1) I want to see more cars like 8 to 10 rather than just 4.
    2) It would be great if add pick up items like power ups, make car drift while turning and add skid marks on road.
    3) As @scottyboy805 said, cars grip can change depending upon the surface they are.
    4) Is it compatible for mobile platform? Can I have demo APK to check the gameplay on mobile?

    I gone through this forum discussion. It has been so long like 1.5 year! but I didn't notice update.
    When can you add these features? I want to purchase this asset

    Since last Monday we started working on the new version of minicar creator. We are considering a series of updates that take into account the requests made on the forum.

    We have started working on the first series of features:
    -More than 4 cars in a race (no limitation)
    -Cars placement customization on the starting grid.
    -Car grip.

    We will then work on the championship mode.
    We will quickly come back to you to keep you informed.

    This week we have work on:
    -Adding more than 4 cars in a race.

    Here a gif to show you the custom editor to create and choose car position on the starting line.

    The code is not finished. We will try to finish it and send an update next week.

    We have submitted a new version of Minicar Race Creator:
    -More than 4 cars in a race
    -4 new car Models
    -Respawn system updated

    At the moment, we are not satisfied with the grip of cars with AI. We will rework this feature later. We do not have a date yet.

    We hope the new version of MCR can be released in a few days :).

    Minicar Race Creator V1.1 is now available in the Unity Asset Store.
    Make a copy of your project before updating the Minicar Race Creator.
    Read the WhatsNew.pdf file in the documentation folder.

    Now we are starting to work on the championship mode.

    Hi,

    Championship mode is progressing well. We think it's a great addition for the asset :) .
    However, there is still a lot of finishing to do. We hope to be close to the goal next weekend.

    In the next version, there will be:
    -The championship mode
    -6 new tracks.

    Please give us a step by step to reproduce the problem. Do you have the message each time you finish a race? Or Only sometimes? Do you use a race included in the asset when you find this problem?

    thanks for the fast reply! is happens right after I start the demo game, the laps are not counting, the clock is not running and I can ride unlimites laps, it is not stopping at 4 laps :)

    Sorry but I am not able to reproduce your problem on my computer on Unity 2018.2.15.
    Try those steps:
    -Go to tools -> MCR -> Other -> Delete all PlayerPrefs
    -Close Unity
    -ReOpen Unity.
    -Open the Scene Intro (Project tab -> MCR -> Asset -> Demo ->)
    -Start the scene.
    -Choose Solo
    -Choose Arcade
    -Choose the Race Cactus County
    Give me your feedback when you've done those steps.

    I got the same errors after that. I did now delete the whole thing and import it again as a new project and now the problem is solved, so I have no idea what went wrong the first time but I'm glad it is working now :)

    In Minicar Race Creator v1.1:
    We forgot to update the starter kit scene with the new respawn system.
    We have sent a new version to the Unity Asset Store. We hope that the update can be done in a day or two. We will keep you informed.

    If you want to do the correction yourself it is possible to:
    -Open the scene Track_01_CactusCounty (Project tab -> MCR Creator -> Assets -> Scenes -> Track -> ) (Spot 1)
    -In the Hierarchy copy the object RespawnOrderList (spot 2)
    -Open the scene StarterKit (Project tab -> MCR Creator -> Assets -> Scenes ->)
    (Spot 3)
    -Paste the object RespawnOrderList in the Hierarchy.

    Please please please multiplayer. Not a single good asset on unity store that has MP in racing or even a speck of how to do it. Tried doing it myself but couldn't make the physics work good enough (like in SP).

    1. Do you have any plans to add MP (any timeline) or can you perhaps point us in right direction to add photo or unet to it ?
    2. Can we do 3P or 4P player split screen ? I read some talks about 8P, so 4P and 4CPU would be amazing
    3. Can we replace car models with something else ? Say running humans or hovercraft or balls rolling (yeah weird, but just asking how flexible this is), while keeping the rest of the functionality same ?

    Online Multiplayer is in the roadmap but for the moment we have no date.

    We have a roadmap. We prefer not to give you too much information about this because we do not really know when each step will be finished :) . And sometimes the roadmap change a little ;) .
    However do not hesitate to make us your wish list for this asset. We note your wishes and consider your ideas.

    We worked on the Championship mode this week.
    We have completed the 6 new tracks that will be included in the next update.

    We still have some details to finish and we have to finish the documentation.
    We should finish the Championship mode at the end of next week :) .

    Can I change the colors in the Inspector Tab? sometimes I can not read it, I have Unity Pro Dark setup

    It is not possible in the Inspector but you can change the color easily in the custom editor script.
    For example with the script carController.cs:
    -Open the script carControllerEditor in your script editor (MCR -> Assets -> scripts -> car ->) (spot 1)
    For information the editor has the same name as the script with Editor at the end.
    -Find the line with variable Tex_01 to Text_05 (spot 2)
    -Change the color value to fit your editor style :)

    We are doing a serie of updates for Minicar Creator. We do not know yet in what order we will make these updates but the multiplayer is in the roadmap. We will communicate progressively about the new features. The next update will include the championship mode (with 6 additional demo races).

    I can't download the Standard Assets Pack. It says I already have the assets in this package but I don't. What do I do. Whats the solution?

    Hi,

    Try this:
    -Create a new Unity empty project.
    -In that empty project download the script WaypointCircuit.cs and WaypointProgresstracker.cs as it is describe in the documentation par 1-Configuring the project (page 4)
    -Then reopen your Minicar project.
    Copy the scripts WaypointCircuit.cs and WaypointProgresstracker.cs inside the minicar project.

    It should works :) . If not send us a mail or PM with more information about your version of unity and/or a step by step to reproduce your problem.
