    In versions older than 2018.3,
"Assets/Anonym/MapEditor/prefab/Iso_Map.prefab" file does not open normally.
This file will be deleted in next update.

    Instead of that file,
    "Assets/Anonym/MapEditor/prefab/Isometric/Iso_Map.prefab" file is available.
    Sorry for confusion.

Easily the best asset I have ever purchased. But....there are a lot of features missing and terrible documentation. Using the tool can be incredibly frustrating, but that is more to do with how bad Unity is than this asset (lets be honest Unity terrible/horrible for extensions).

I appeal to this author to keep investing time into developing this asset, its almost at a point that it can be useful. I am such a fan of this asset, that I have made lots of isometric character with multiple animations and tiles that I can donate to this project, if you can setup a really good example level using them. Here is some samples: https://imgur.com/a/kxQercP

I can also make additional tiles if necessary.

Oh, You are an isometric artist. That's great!
In your writing, I can imagine how hard you suffered from lack of document. I feel really sorry.

I heard this when I started isometrics.
    "Isometrics is very tricky."
At first I did not think so. However, the more the time, the bigger it felt. So I had to make a lot of features and I could not explain it briefly.

So I have been actively using a variety of methods such as e-mail / youtube / Unity-Collaboration to solve the user's questions. But it was not the best way to help all users.

This asset has been updated continuously over the past year. Also, because I use it myself, I will continue to do so in the future. And, I am going to improve the learning difficulty of this tool dramatically after finishing my current project. Then, If possible, I would like to create a sample scene using your great resources.
Thank you for your sincere advice.

    Hey ! couple of questions:

Does this work as tiles?(aka no as just objects)
Can i make it auto put tiles like corners etc when i draw the map?
How is it performance wise for an Open-world style game?
Is it possible to make slopes etc to make it look more organic and less cubic?

    Thanks for your questions!
But, this is not the asset you are looking for.
Imo, this is the best for you.
    https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/Tilemap-Isometric.html

Actually, my assets are suitable for creating the following maps:
A map with a not large size but more complex 3D configurator than usual is.

I want this thread to be a place for technical comments. If you have additional question, please email me.;)

Hi, I want to give y value(height) to each tile just like the game 'Ymir'.
Is your asset more useful for making i wants than the Unity Tile Map?
    p1.png

And I intend to define each chunk by the configuration provided by your asset, and to allow this chunk to be created infinitely, like 'Minecraft'. What do you think of this?

P.S. I am not an English speaker. I used a translator. I am sorry my poor English.

Hi, Sorry for the delay. I am busy preparing important updates. My asset is a bit smaller and more suited for maps with a high degree of complexity. So your idea is better to work with Unity Tile Map. It is a little simpler and more standard and faster!
P.S. My English is same as you. No, you are better than me. Cheers!

    Thank you for your reply.

but I don't understand the high degree of complexity you're talking about. if i put a bridge between the cliffs in my screen shot, is there a high degree of complexity? and are you mean the 3D case that a unit can pass under the bridge and at the same time the another unit can pass over the bridge? The good part I found in your asset was the implementation in 3D. And this is what I wanted.

If you are worried about the performance problem, could you tell me the maximum number of chunks that can maintain the 60 frame? One chunk doesn't have to be huge. Just as Minecraft has several small chunks on it, small chunks gather to create a big map. I'd like to know the possibility of this in your asset performance.

    Hello,
I have this asset installed and am learning how to use it.
The Magic Wand seems to have an issue where the cursor doesn't hover over where it's editing. My cursor is below and to the right of where it's actually editing (the yellow box).

Also, when I'm using extrude on an iso tile, I don't get the "extrude mode" menu in the scene editor.

    Any suggestions?

Sorry, I'm late. My Discord server was closed due to lack of members. Instead, I prefer email or Unity Collaboration as a way of assist.

Hi, im interested in isometric game desigh in Unity because im a solo game developer and I realize its too timeconsuming to modell and desigh levels in 3D and also I like to draw. Im interested in your asset because of the 3d navmesh approach.

However im not sure how it would work to implement fx projectiles with particle effects and lightning in such an asset. for exeample 2D character shooting a firebolt that explodes on target showing shadows on objects and characters along its path.
I would like to draw a 2D level in Photoshop or procreate, such as the one you can see in the photo linked bellow, Maybe add normal maps, hight maps and occlusion maps etc, then import it innto 2.5D isometric asset such as yours. Is that possibl? My plan is to have same size on grid in photoshop and in Unity so that tiles will fit. Would I manually have to cut my drawing then upload each piece innto unity then tilt them at 45 degreees? Is it 45 degrees? 2 horizontal, one vertical?, before uploading each piece as a puzzle? whould this work out nicely?
could i make my character climb the ladder or stairs based on navmes?

It's a shame this asset is no longer available. I still feel like there's no asset comparable to this one. Was a great asset!
