    Hey, I have just bought this asset and I am trying to import it in my unity. But it is taking forever to import?

    How long does it normally takes to import this asset?

    I am running Core i5 3.5GHZ with 16GB Ram.

    Update: Ok so it finished importing but now when i import a scene it crashes the unity.

    Using 5.4.2f2

    It's weird that it crashes. You are the first who tell me about that problem. What exactly happens when you importing it?

    Hi!
    You should re-bake the lighting if you use Unity 5.4+ by pressing the "Generate lighting" button in the Lighting window and all these black objects (dynamic) will become normal. This happens due the difference of Enlighten version in the different Unity versions.

    You can use only exterior for this, and hide all the interior stuff.

    Hellos, sorry.

    It's been days that I am trying to get the door script to work with characters from the UnitZ asset pack but it just wont work. It work just fine with a regular rigid body though and I don't know.

    I keep having these errors upload_2017-12-11_22-57-48.png

    The sphere collider is set up to trigger and the character do have a rigidbody. Also, the tag are assigned properly...

    Please help....

    Hi!
    It looks like the Door script can't find a Player. This initialization executes in Start, do you have any warning messages (yellow) in the console?

    Hi, I'm updating to Unity 2017.1.0f3, and I have some issues regarding lighting with "Realtime Day" scene, just after importing the asset, the room look quite good with lights ON and OFF, but right after clicking on "Generate Lighting", with absolutely no other change on any setup, the room with lights ON looks pretty cool, more realistic, but when turning the light OFF, the same room looks too dark.

    I'm totally new to lighting and reflection probes, actually bought this to learn, so I'm not able to troubleshoot this, though I think it's just a change on Unity lighting internal procedure, but besides checking that, I'd like to know how to solve it, as I'm using lights on and off in my project.

    I attach some images:
    01 - light on (before)
    02 - light off (before)
    03 - light on (after, PERFECT, MORE REALISTIC)
    04 - light off (after, TOO DARK)

    But it looks completely correct after re-baking. It's not too dark - it's just right as it must be.

    Regarding picture number 4, if it were a Night scene, it'll be ok, but considering is the "Day" scene, it's too dark.

    You can try to boost indirect light a bit. There are few way. For example, try to increase the Indirect Light intensity in the Lighting settings. Also you can try to use Area Lights in windows with more intensity/indirect intensity.

    I'm using your MaskedPBR shader for other items in my project. It has helped me with creating gameobjects with different color variations.

    Do you happen to have a version of the shader that uses a metallic map instead of the specular?

    Hi, is the exterior modifiable? I like this asset but being stuck with a single mesh for the outer walls, would not be too efficient for me. I see that the interior is modular, but can't find any info about the exterior. Thanks!

    Hi!
    The exterior is not modular, you can only adjust colors on it.

    Is there any way to convert the NOT_Lonely/MaskedPBR textures to work with the LWRP while maintaining the color mask items?

    I can convert them to regular LWRP Lit materials with specular maps, but it obviously loses the multiple colors based on the mask. Any suggestions or plans to make it compatible in the future?

    (Also, this asset is incredible. Extremely detailed and well put together!)

    Hi, is there a way to export the color settings into a texture that can be be used with a standard shader? I'm trying to create impostors, but it will not save the color changes, so ends up using the default grey.

    Edit: never mind, figured how to do it - great support!

    Trying to play the animations for doors included in the package crashes Unity (using 2019.2.2), any idea what this might be ?
    They do work on the demo scene, but just dragging a prefab in an open scene and ticking play automatically in the animator makes Unity crash. Very weird.
    EDIT: seems like animations won't work if they don't have the door script attached, are they using animation events calling for the script or something ?
    EDIT2: yeah, deleting animation events do the trick.

    @NOT_Lonely, yes exactly. The 3m width door module is not big enough for it, it seems.

    Unity 2019.4, running into many compiler errors with shaders, specifically MaskedPBR.
    Any recommended action? Should I just use the day materials? I'm more experienced on the programming side of things than the art side, so shader code is foreign to me.

    Simply remove the Standard Assets folder that comes with the pack.

    Best Asset for home interiors, hands down... and its 4 years old! Great job. So I could only get everything to run if I pulled down Unity version 2017.40. Is there and out of the box version for paid customers that will work in Unity version 2019+ ? Still having a bunch of shader and script errors after killing the Standard Assets folder and naming some of the legacy namespace.

    Yes, you just have to remove the Standard Assest folder and the Editor folder (or simply not import it).
    If you need a working MaskedPBR shader for newer Unity versions - just email me and I will send it to you.
