    Hi everyone,
    I'm happy to show you my new assets pack for Unity - HQ Abandoned School.
    It's already available at Unity Asset Store: http://u3d.as/12aN

    It's a completely modular flexible set of 3D-models, textures, materials and shaders that will let you dive into an atmoshpheric abandoned place of the previous century.

    For this moment this pack includes 7 pre-made rooms in the demo scene interior (two classrooms, two toilets, library, gym, lockers room) and corridors.

    Without numerous words - just watch the video and look at the screeshots.

    The pack looks great! The only bad part I see about it is the requirement of 2017.2. What are you doing with it that is requiring 2017.2?

    I used 2017.2 because it's hard to support a big range of versions with so big package, so I decided to support only few latest versions of the engine.

    Why is this not working?
    I want to make a scene of a school not abandoned and a lot of the customizable textures do not work.


    I hoped it would be like the video:

    I struggled to find the chair customizable, so I thought it did not work.

    The customization of materials only works in a few assets, I bought thinking it would work with most, I wanted a school in operation.

    Here's the list of customizable objects for now:
    - all student desks;
    - lockers;
    - carpet floor;
    - mosaic floor;
    - painted concrete;
    - walls;

    I found that this is the most needed customization, with it you can make completely differently looking classrooms.
    Anyway, I will add more content soon (and more cutomizable content as well) as free updates for all current customers.

    Just purchased! Excellent asset.

    I'm working through the package right now. I could use a bit of information about using the flashlight prefabs you included. There is a script missing shows "nothing selected" where the script for the for the light for "Flashlight_ON_FirstPerson". I'm guessing you had some sort of on/off for the flashlight? Neither of the other two have scripts.

    And... can't get in the gym haha. I'm curious what size collider you were using to walk through the heating vent.

    Cool stuff.

    Hmm, it looks like I forgot to delete this dependency from the flashlight prefab. I made this on/off feature only for the demo video.

    I suspected as much. It's not a difficult thing to write a simple script for that. I just thought it would be handy while checking out the demo scenes with a FPS controller. Getting into the gymnasium is impossible without removing the collection of blocking items, and the gym is one of the cooler parts of the demo. Thanks again.

    What is blocking items do you mean? Can you please describe it a bit and I will fix it in the next update?
    Yeah, I love the gym too haha :D

    When you first go into the school, turn right to head to the gymnasium. If a person puts in a FPS controller from the standard assets, they can't get over the various items blocking the hallway. There's a student desk, tipped over locker, rostrum, file cabinet, bookcase etc. right after the heating vent that is open.


    I saw in the demo video you were going through the vent. That would be a cool experience if I had a controller setup to move through that.

    Haven't had a chance to play with it yet but looking forward to it! Luckily since it was in my wishlist already, I received an email about the sale earlier this week! I haven't been picking up many assets lately due to a tight budget.. But how could anyone pass that up! Thanks for letting Unity put it out there for such a crazy sale price!

    The 1.01 version is here.

    I've fixed a problem with the Substance files in Unity 2018.

    Now you just need to install this free substance plugin: http://u3d.as/15jA and unzip the Substances.zip folder to continue use substances in Unity 2018.

    PS Is this package mobile-friendly? I'd like to only compose one single room :)

    Hi!

    I'm sorry but I can't change the price now. The demo scene itself is not mobile friendly, because it's huge and very detailed. But if you want to see only one room, this would work of course, because the models are pretty optimized, and all the complex meshes use LOD groups.

    After a month of hard work I've finished the update for this HQ Abandoned School pack. Hope you will like it, guys =)
    The update already submitted an waiting for approval at the Unity Asset Store, so I think it will be available in few days.

    Can i use this asset for a mobile game?
    Can i use this for a VR Game?
    Can Samsung s7 support all these assets without a lag?

    Hi!

    I'm not sure about mobile, but maybe with the completely baked lighting and without a heavy post-processing it will work.

    It will work with PC VR.

    Five of the legacy materials don't work with the new Substance. How can I fix this?

    After installing Substance Designer it has these errors: Legacy Substance Material Detected: Carpet.sbar FloorMosiac.sbar PaintedConcrete.sbar WallWithTiles.sbar StudentDeskA_Plastic.sbar StudentDeskB.Plastic.sbar

    It's not an error, it's just a warning. The substances was imported using Unity 2017 to support all the range of versions since 2017.2 and up. Since Unity 2018 you will be getting this warning.

    Thanks for the reply. I could not get the materials to load in unity 2017, 2018.1 or 2018.3. Not sure where to find an older version of substance designer if that would help. The materials for the floors and walls just show pink and I don't know how to fix it. I'm new to unity, maybe you could offer some advice how I can switch the textures for these (floor, wall) just so I can load the demo and look around without the bright pink shining everywhere?

    Btw, I tried the substance designers upgrade process. Loaded into 2017 unity, saved project, then loaded it into 2018, most of the prefabs didn't load and still get the materials errors.

    Edit: Maybe I used 2017.1. Will go back and check, if so will try unity 2017.2.

    Not sure what you mean. One of the errors says: Assets/NOT_Lonely/HQ_AbandonedSchool/Textures/Carpet/Carpet.sbar

    It seems only certain prefabs are pink. The models are ok. When I drag the shader from one prefab to a pink one it seems to correct it for most of them, but still the floor and inner walls of the external walls aren't working. Not sure how to copy the shader on to them.

    Will this work for URP?
