[RELEASED] Honor AI - the ultimate, high performance and modular AI solution

    Hi, 1.01 update just landed as preparation for big 1.1 update.
    1.1 update will bring a lof of changes and improvements with the biggest one being new, much modular architecture of AI components.

    Unfortunately such big change means it will break your existing prefabs.
    To mitigate that issue we created dedicated upgrade tool that will serialize(save to hard disk) your prefabs data to separate text tile and reapply it after 1.1 upgrade and add all necesary new components automatically.

    We worked hard to make sure the process is as simple, painless and fast as possible, but still some user action is necessary, and that's why this intermediate 1.01 update is necessary - it contains just this upgrade tool to make sure you won't lose data of your prefabs and that they won't break.

    Process is very fast and automated as much as possible, basically few buttons clicks operations:
    -Select from Unitys top toolbar RonisVision -> HonorAI -> 1.1 prefab upgrade tool
    -Follow instructions in upgrade tool window

    Although the Honor AI look good, but the sample is weak, the most disappoint one is some where the sample set the Application.targetFrameRate=60; , I don't know where it is, but after run the sample, all my other scene fps have capped at 60fps, I need to write the script to uncap it!!
    Application.targetFrameRate=-1;
    Only this thing I want to give this asset one star!!
    Please don't do that!

    We are checking the fps when developing the application, the Only one to cap the fps is our self, you sample will cap the whole project other scene fps, although is might not affect the final output, but it will annoying when we check other scene performance.

    Thanks for heads up!
    looks like some on those packages include animations, that would allow to finally have animated characters in examples.

    I am so much looking forward to to the 1.1..
    So far I love this asset. Very flexible, easy to use and yet if you dive in a little deeper very powerful indeed...

    Some more teasing :)
    New, improved attack logic allows for very fast attacks, even every frame which wasn't possible earlier, showed here as rapidly firing rifles.
    Intentionally set them very different weapon range to show difference in behaviour.
    Notice how they always move away from the biggest threat - that's not coincidence;
    the AI constantly anylyzes situation and direction of danger using AI utilities, they also intelligently select targets based on many criterias and prefer targets that are further from the crowd (center of danger).

    this time I wanted to share our first public development roadmap on Trello!

    With that we hope you'll be better informed what is currently worked on, current progress, what to expect in near future and general release plans.
    When you click on the cards you will get more info about this specific feature/module.
    Progress on elements is represented by Trellos tags - each tag means about 20% of progress, meaning five added tags shows that element is done or near completion, no tags means work hasn't been started on that element yet.
    Hope it's informative and somehow helpful. If you have any suggestions on how to improve it or what informations you would like to see there feel free to share it here or on our discord server, cheers! :)

    Advanced Animation addon will handle all that animator controller complexity for you!


    Each movement style will have separate blend tree for normal and combat movement, and their rotation counterparts.
    Optional enter and exit transition animations will allow to do stuff like holstering and unholstering weapon.
    And you will be able to add as many movement styles as you need!
    Advanced Animations will handle it all - different weapons, stances, wounded movement etc.
    And thanks to the non-destructive workflow, you will still be able to manually fine tune, extend and change all you need in animator controller to suit your project.

    Yes it’s very easy to use for non programmers.
    It’s worth every cent and version 1.1 will soon knock on the doorbell. This asset keeps getting better and better.
    You could join the discord and look in tutorials channel. There are the basic videos in there that that show you the setup so you would easily achieve this behaviour.

    This seems like a perfect asset if it also wouldl support multiplayer.
    I'll try the local solution today but assume more devs are hoping for multiplayer support.
