Hi everyone, I want to show you the first released version of FmvMaker, a tool that helps you to create FMV games (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_motion_video) without coding. All you'll have to do, is to get your video content ready, get FmvMaker, create 2 simple JSON configuration files and you're ready to go! We are shipping 2 showcase scenes, as well as a very simple inventory system. Everything is easily extend- and changeable and the best thing -> it's free!!!

FmvMaker was designed for creating FMVs, point'n click adventures, or other types of games/plugins, which use some kind of video playlist with possible interactions. FmvMaker uses only (!) native Unity components to ensure a maximum of compatiblity with all of Unity's supported build platforms. If you encounter errors or problems, pls create a new issue at the Github repository. We'll try to help you asap. :)

For further documentation and a full "Getting Started" guide, check out the Github repository documentation.

Thank you for your feedback :)

Update: Version 1.5 with a node-based editor was released

It's now easier than ever, to create FMV games, as the editor is based Unity's Visual Scripting!
    Have fun :)

Do you have any screenshots of your node based editor? It's very hard to see what it looks like, what features it has and how it works :) Thank you!

Hello I find the video very helpful, but it never shows how to put in our own videos for the fmv. like instead of the default set up and 2 options how do we put in our own videos.

For everyone who is not aware of the answer in the comments section on Youtube, here is it:

Hi and sry for the inconvenience. I totally forgot to add a specific section for that. At 10:21 - 12:21 I gave a short explanation, but I should've explained it more properly.
    • Remove the demo scene videos from Assets/FmvMaker/Resources/FmvMakerVideos, if present
    • Add you own videos to Assets/FmvMaker/Resources/FmvMakerVideos
    • Only use videos, which are supported by Unity - If using offline videos, make sure the "VideoSourceType": "INTERNAL" is correctly set in FmvMakerConfig.json
    • Make sure to remove the demo data (except None) and add all your video file names to Assets/FmvMaker/Scripts/Graph/Models/FmvVideoEnum.cs
    That should do it :)
