    Hello Unity Developers!

The first version of the level editor Fabgrid is now released on the asset store.

Here are some of its features:
    • Simple user interface.
    • Four snap options when placing out prefabs: Snap to mesh, snap to grid, snap to the floor, and adaptive snapping which is designed specifically for placing out walls and floors for buildings.
    • Customization: You can change the keyboard bindings for most of the commands.
    • Documentation is accessible directly in Unity for quick reference.
    • A brush tool for placing out tiles.
    • A rectangle tool for placing out multiple tiles.
    • Eraser tool.
    • Flexible and easy-to-use tile/prefab importer.
    • Selection box tool for quickly easily removing multiple prefabs.

Version 1.1 is currently in development. What are some features that you would like to see in a level editor?

Version 1.1 of Fabgrid is live!
You can now search for prefabs to further speed up your workflow.

The tool has increased in performance and is compatible with more Unity versions. You can also load prefabs faster by specifying a prefab folder with a folder panel.

The current goal is to make the tool compatible with as many versions of Unity as possible starting from the latest releases.

I will happily answer any questions or requests related to the tool. :)

    Thank you for your time.

    Fabgrid 1.2 is live

You can now load and save tile sets. The tile importer also skips adding a tile if it already exists in the palette.

Fabgrid 1.3 is also submitted for review
In this version, you can now use Maya style navigation. This is achieved by holding down the left control button while left-clicking on a GameObject. You can also orbit and pan in the usual way.
