[RELEASED] Embedded Script Editor: Visual Studio and Rider support

Develop in Visual Studio or Rider in the Unity Editor!

• Supports Visual Studio 2015..2022 and JetBrains Rider 2021-2022;
• Supports Unity 5...2021;
• Supports multiple projects (for example, you can open client and server solutions at the same time);
• Auto open projects upon entry;
• Unity Pro is not required;
• Source code included.

It works only in Windows.

• added settings for the script editor (now you can change the name of the project)
• the texture of the project is stored in the project tab
• fixed minor bugs

Is it possible to use this with VS Code? I'd like if that was an option.

 

Unfortunately, this plugin doesn't support VS Code yet. However, we have such plans for the future.

Planned for Mac, but not in the next six months.

This is reaaaaally cool. One day this will come built-in with Unity. One day!

Will this work with Unity 2022.2? I am practicing DOTS 1.0 Preview, And start Unity version is 2022.2.0b8.
