Thanks for pointing me to the discord, I did a quick search there and found this post:

I'll be giving that a try later this week, looks promising.

Does it export vertex colors and additional UV Maps?

The Unity FBX exporter worked perfectly, it even kept the materials so I could select vertices via materials and easily create leaves/branches vertex groups for further editing.

And in essence, you can design your own shaders in place of the one used by Broccoli. I don't have access to SpeedTree

Hi @mr_president! I'm sorry for the late response.
This question has been raised in the past, some users of Broccoli modify the trees in Blender using the Unity official fbx exporter, you can install it from the Package Manager. https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.formats.fbx@5.0/manual/index.html
When exporting back the modified fbx asset, make sure the keep the UV1, UV2, UV3 and UV4 channels with a value of Vector4 on the mesh. The wind values for SpeedTree are baked into these UVs.

Interesting to know. And I shouldn't have any issues using my custom Amplify Shaders

The most recent Sprout Lab Editor (from 1.7.2) is exporting textures without alpha, unless I'm missing an option somewhere. Anyone else seeing this, or have a solution?

Also, is the Discord server no longer actively supported?

No worries on the Discord. I haven't posted there for a while due to no activity, but there are other people with questions there. I'm happy to use whatever support channel you prefer.
