[Release] UMAzing: an in-game UMA character creator

    Hi all
    I am interested in buying this unity plugin but I read that there some problems with Unity 5, for it, Is it like that?
    On the other hand I would need to add to display in the Unity scene both Character and its name, Could anybody tell me if it is possible?

    I'm not sure which problems you're talking about it works fine for me. As for your second question if you want to view the character in the editor you'll need uma power tools to convert the uma to a prefab first.

    First, thanks for your fast answer.
    On the other hand and since that I am a new C# programmer , Sorry for my ignorance but Could you explain me a little better about the code to display the name character in the uniity scene?

    I just want to clarify when you say scene do u mean the editor or when you run the game?

    After the plugin make the character and I add its name and then I click done and only the character appears in the game, so I would need that when the game run, it display both name and character .

    Oh I think I understand. You would need to code that separately.

    Do you think that it should be possible? Is it very hard to build?

    It's very possible yes but you will need to do some coding

    I plan to use motion controller as well as umazing, has this been fixed?

    i placed it in the spawn script but i now get this error:

    Assets/UMA/Extensions/UMAzing/Scripts/UMAzingSpawn.cs(17,9): error CS0103: The name `umaData' does not exist in the current context

    if i reference to UMAData i get this error:

    Assets/UMA/Extensions/UMAzing/Scripts/UMAzingSpawn.cs(17,17): error CS0117: `UMA.UMAData' does not contain a definition for `Initialize'

    i appreciate the help but i think i might of misunderstood you

    also the reason i had to change the umazing code was because i was getting errors like:

    Assets/UMA/Extensions/UMAzing/Scripts/UMAzingCC.cs(2110,25): error CS1061: Type `UMA.UMAData' does not contain a definition for `OnUpdated' and no extension method `OnUpdated' of type `UMA.UMAData' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

    and if i change that to the updated "CharacterUpdated" i get this error:

    Assets/UMA/Extensions/UMAzing/Scripts/UMAzingCC.cs(2110,25): error CS0019: Operator `+=' cannot be applied to operands of type `UMA.UMADataEvent' and `System.Action<UMA.UMAData>'

    i went back to the original stock umazing again to try and get it working properly

    i reread what you gave me a few times and i think we had different issues.

    i had no issue with a spawn but if while using the character creator if i change to a female from a male. i got that error. and pause the scene. i can unpause it and it will work just fine

    How can I change the character controller? Is this project dead? I am wondering because I have been email the author and I haven't gotten a single reply back.

    Is there an alternative to this plugin available? Support for this project appears to be completely dead which is unfortunate because it had so much potential. If someone were to build an alternative to this and properly/actively support it, they'd make a killing in the asset store.

    Hi All - new to unity and was wondering if someone could help me out with how to load a character previously created and saved through this tool? i saw a few mentions of this topic in this thread, but no examples were given (and like I said ^^^ beginner here) :)

    This looks like an excellent tool, but I have a few questions,

    Would this be usable in multiplayer, so people can have their own local character file, then load it in the server?


    Also, it'd be nice to see a first person camera option, a choice between them both maybe.

    Hi there, having a small issue with umazing that I was unable to find a resolve for on the unity forums.

    Everything seems to be working fine in the editor, I can create a character name him/ her and hit done and it will load the game scene.

    When the project is built though it seems like the done button does not function at all. I can enter a name in the field for the character, but when i hit done nothing will happen, game scene never loads.

    Anyone have this issue before? Many thanks.
