Hello! What if i set really high reference resolution, like 2560x1440, but my drawings aren't that good quality, it's more like pixel art style game. What are the negative effects in it?

I am trying to understand resolutions and trying to choose a correct reference resolution for my game. Thank you.

Aspect Ratio is what you need to be concerned with. All resolutions that have the same aspect ratio can work together.

Okay, thank you adehm. I've been thinking about aspect ratios too, and i need my game to work with 16:10 and 16:9, so could i make a scene for both of the ratios, so it will chose the correct one depending on the screen player is using?

If you used graphics for 16:9 on 16:10 they would be disproportionate. I'm no artist but I'd imagine it would be noticeable.
