    [Now Unity 5 Compatible]

    Realtime Hearing AI -

    Asset Store Link
    https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/28492

    This allows the AI to hear your voice in real time, not just your voice, but any noise you make can effect this. This adds a great depth of realism into your games.

    Realtime Hearing AI offers the building blocks to create a highly sophisticated AI. Imagine hiding from an enemy with this script attached to it, and your brother opens the door - you can finally blame your death on your brother!

    Easy 2 minute setup! This is a simple to set up package that will add so much more realism to your games!

    Perfect for -

    * Horror games
    * FPS Games
    * ANY GAME!

    If you need any AI to be able to react to sound we make, you can now do it!
    If you so much as cough, the enemy can be told to come to that position, or whatever else you'd like him to do.

    Here are some videos for you to check out.

    Showing how this works!

    I will soon be messing around with a new version of Realtime Hearing AI,
    if you're interested in an AI that can react to noise heard by Microphone, then definitely check
    this package out - you will not be unsatisfied.

    I am needing reviews and opinions before I start working on newest version.
    (Again - this is now Unity 5 Compatible).

    But now I need user opinions and reviews on stuff y'all would like to see in the next version.

    I have only had the chance to test this on my LG G3 Android and it worked flawlessly, however a Phones Microphone is more sensitive than the Laptop Mic, so you may have to adjust the the settings a bit, but I can only state for Android LG-G3 that it did work.

    I will attempt Voice Commands once I can figure out a way to make it work within the SoundZone.
    The part that I have to figure out mathamatically is the frequencies in our voice, they change constantly, so to make it work within the soundzone is the part I've been trying to figure out.

    Sorry for the late reply.

    If you have any further questions I will be here :).

    EDIT - I just don't own a mac or IOS to test this on, that's the only reason I am unsure about IOS. I am sorry about that.

    @N1warhead. I just been checking out your asset. I just want to clarify how it works. After watching the videos, am I correct in saying, your asset allows NPC AI to hear just your voice chat?

    Does your asset also make the NPC aware of other sounds? eg: a grenade going off.

    If you have 2 NPC's on opposite teams, will they hear each others footsteps?

    Hey sorry for the delay. I am in bed and just checked on my phone.

    Depending on how sensitive you set the microphone, or if its a Built in microphone the ai can hear any noise you make, so if you have a bomb go off depending on the sensitivity the mic can pic it up. That should work using tags, because the sphere that is considered the sound zone, you program it to do what you would like, so you have absolute control over what happens, i included the basic demo scene with set up and how i made the ai react to the sound.

    I hope that helps answer your concerns.

    Again sorry for long delay.

    Also you can change one thing to produce in game sounds, its either set currently to audio source or listener, just change it to the other and that should produce in game noise if i remember correctly.

    Exactly. It can easily be converted to in-game sound, but, right now, it picks up from Microphone Input.
    The louder you speak, the bigger the "Sound Zone" gets just like real life. All of these numbers can be adjusted inside the Inspector.

    But it's not really so much an enemy AI, you still have to program your enemies to do what you want, but this script allows you to make a sphere into a sound-zone. The louder you are, the bigger the Sphere gets, then you can make an OnTriggerEnter or OnTriggerStay function and have your Enemy do what you'd like.

    Figured that was the best way to go with it, as every-bodies game is made differently. So I just made it where anybody can pick it up and use it to what their needs are.

    I hope I answered your question to your satisfaction.

    Thank you!
