    Hi all.

First: sorry about my english.. i will try ;)

I'm trying since more than one week to bring my project on URP.

Some features are working fine, but i have really big problems with the particle system. I have searched on Google, on forums, youtube and so on. Without result.

I tried out a lot: Write own shaders. They are working. But i really like to use standard shaders like URP/Particles/Unlit and so on. I know its possible.

I try to make a very standard particle system with some transparent graphics to create something like fire effects.
My problem: URP shaders are still not working on transparent. Tried out every possible combination. Tried out with a lot of different materials and graphics. Always the same: no transparency.

If i take Opaque, it renders the whole graphic independently of color mode (Multiply, Additive, ...)
If i take transparent, i've got no graphics. Independently of combinations of blending mode and color mode. Every combination is showing nothing.

I tried to convert the graphics in different formats.
I tried to convert the graphics only on black/white, black/colored, transparent/white, transparent/colored and so on.
Tried to import into a complete new URP project. Reimport some particles of the standard assets, ...
The size is a multiple of 4.
Camera settings set for opaque and transparent.

I've got no idea what to do. And my nerves are really bare.

So please can someone help me? Which format i need? Which colors? ...

Thank you so much for your efforts!

    Greetings
    Cyrus

    Hey @cyrusmasta
    That's very weird.

Let's start off with, what Unity version are you using and what version of URP?

I've just opened a new project with 2019.3.11f1 and URP 7.3.1 and I'm not seeing any issues.

You're 100% sure that your material, with the default URP Particle Shader, is assigned to the Particle System?
If so, can you make me a small & simple repro project so I can take a quick look?

    Got it..

    It's really confusing.

Some Particle Systems with URP where working or also with other shaders, some others only with my own shader or for example Mobile/Particles/Additive but not with URP.

The problem was so simple (dont tell me why!): Some materials need to be rendered from back. And then they are visible.

Strangely not all of them. That was what confused me.

Hope can help some other peoples with this.
