    Introduction & Summary
My name is Justin, I'm an indie game developer with ambitious goals. I'm looking for anyone who is willing to help make a realistic survival game. When I say realistic, I mean realistic - not just graphic wise, but mostly gameplay wise.

    Project Type/Genre & Platform
The game is a first person realistic survival games - so no guns, explosions, and magic. The main platform is pc, though it could probably become console either.

    The Idea
The game revolves around a main island - sub-islands might come later but that's not yet decided - called Tetepare (yes, this island actually exists and it's one of the last protected wildlife islands in the world). My plan is to get as much information from the island and implement that into the game - from all of the animal species to the locations of rivers and geographical data. The island is roughly 20000x10000x400m, or in other words, pretty damn big. I hope we'll be able to make the whole game out of free assets only (I've already come pretty far with free assets), though this might not be possible.
The player will be able to choose between survival and story mode, where survival mode is just pure survival: you crash in a plane and you have to survive. Story mode on the other hand has an actual storyline, though this will come after the survival mode has been made.

    Progress
It is important to present the project in its current state. Consider presenting
So far I have the island inside of Unity with the right terrain size, though I still have to texture it. I've also gathered a lot of data on animals on the island and started modeling some birds (there are 75 in total so I have a bunch of work to do). I've also gathered a bunch of audio samples. So far there's only me, and if it stays that way it will take at least a year before the game is done...

    What We Are Looking For
I'm looking for people who are good at:
    - Audio: making sure everything on the island sounds realistic
    - Modeling: There are a ton of animals that are to be modeled, and I would really appreciate some help because at this rate it will take 10 years to make the models by myself.
    - Coding: The game is all about survival, so the player should still be able to survive realistically.
    - Terrain builders: make everything look nice
    - UI experts: Inventories and GUIs are what make a survival game amazing if they look good, and I'm not a very good artist myself.
    - Anything else: still interested in the project and think you can help in any way, even though it's something small, you're welcome to help!

I wasn't sure if this counted as a paid request, but everyone who helps a lot will get a revshare which we'll discuss later.

I've been working on adding butterfies to the environment. 10 made so far...
Our other member has been working on a character controller with animations. ;)

We also fixed the github repo, making it incredibly easy for everyone to collaborate on the project!

    Update:
We are working on a character controller and a dynamic tree cutting system, which allows players to realistically cut trees and logs! Furthermore, I've been importing real-world data to have realistic weather, and day/night cycles.

We desperately need an animator. If you enjoy animating motions such as crafting items, walking, tool and weapon animations, send us a message and we'd be happy to have you! ;)

    Update:
I've added realistic water together with post processing
