Real-time clouds

    I haven't had time to really study this yet. I'd like to figure out how they are doing this and perhaps see if any of it can be applied to Unity. From what little I did look at, looks like lots of polys...

    I'm thinking it's just particles/billboards, but deployed automatically in very sophisticated/realistic ways.

    Much cooler than each cloud being ONE billboard like most games use :)

    Maybe it's time to start the UniCloud project :wink:

    It's hard to tell if they're using billboards or some other type of mesh generator from this screenshot...

    Looks pretty neat. They say they use the physics of cloud formation when generating the clouds. I wonder if the engine handles the clouds' movement and if the clouds deform as they move. Also looks like they have OpenGL hooks as well as DirectX hooks. I would be curious what various licenses prices are :)
