Read only asset ... has no meta file [workflow]

    I'd like to use UPM to distribute 3D models without first passing those 3D models through Unity. ATM, my best work around is to generate a unity .meta file in a `prepublishOnly` script. I don't love this solution because I'd rather leave the creation of those files to Unity.

    Any thoughts on a clean way to publish assets without first importing them to Unity?

    Hello @Vander-Does,
    To the best of my knowledge, I don't think there is a way to create a package with assets inside without a .meta associated yet.

    However, we are working on improving the asset store workflows and asset bundles, so that should be better in the future.

    Hello,
    well we are working on a better workflow in-editor so that people do not need to create their own CI for the usual cases.
