Ray-traced GI and decals

    Hey folks,

    do emissive decal projections on geometry actually influence ray-traced GI in the scene? Sofar, I've got GI only working with emissive materials...

    Hi spiegelball,

    Currently, decals are not supported in ray tracing effects. Meaning that you won't see them in reflections and they won't contribute to RTGI.

    RTGI is currently generated by direct lights (point, spot, area, directional) or as you mentioned with emissive materials.

    Supporting decals in ray tracing effects, is not a trivial task but it is on our roadmap.
