Rawbots - A robots crafting game we are working on

This is a technical preview of what we have so far. Lots of good stuff if you like Lego Mindstorms and Minecraft. Let me know what you think.

Looks amazing! The customization looks awesome and sort of reminds me of spore.

 

I've been looking for something similar to spore in the character customization for awhile, this looks pretty good

I'd love to play a Web Demo or Windows Build soon

It's good to hear the similarities with spore. It's one of the games we were studying, right there with MineCraft and Lego Mindstorms.

 

this is very interesting, can you build behaviors for the robots as well or are they totally user controllable?

 

Looks beautiful! Like a futuristic version of BattleBots and Robot Arena.

 

Both. Everything in the game is a robot. Bridges, doors, props, treasure chest, surveillance cameras. A big part of the game is to have lots of autonomous robots doing whatever users programmed them to do. We will be making videos of the behaviors system and how to program them.

reminds me of my childhood, really excited for this.

 

Rawbots is standing on the shoulders of many giants. We tried to revive everything that was good from past robot games.

Dude the graphics look great. And is that real gameplay in the video cuz if so, its crazy cool.

Thanx. We are planning on releasing a version for hardcore gamers as early as next month, with a christmas release for casual and mid players.

 

Have you got a mailing list or RSS feed we can subscribe to? Seriously, this game looks awesome. I've been looking for a create-a-vehicle game lately, too. This is very timely.

I saw this on Kotaku the other day and it got me crazy excited. This game reminds me of the old Battle Bots show, is it an inspiration or an influence? I imagine it would be a lot of fun programming this game. 100% upvote.

 

This games looks awesome. Asides from the other games mentioned, this also reminds me of Star Wars Droid Works, that game was awesome back in the day.

Totally, Battle Bots and lots of other robot games.

All these bots are built and programmed by the user. Each part requires different kind of controllers: Lift, Attitude, etc.

 

Really amazing. Reminds me of Chromehounds. Awesome game for xbox 360...

I really want to see this game finished. Its a combination of anything I'd ever want a game to have but no games ever had. Are you still working on this? I can't find any new updates from anywhere. A lot of people I know think that you've disappeared.
