Random crash App with Unity 2018 and Oculus utilities 1.28

    Hi there. I have large project with many scenes. Each scene is standalone game. This project was created for Gear VR with Oculsu sdk and Unity 5.6.4p4.
    Recently i upgraded project to 2018.2.4f1 and Oculus Utilities to 1.28 and in Editor its working perfectly. When build it to smartphone sumsung s7/s8 i got crash at the beggining while screen is black. I tried only my "load scene" without anything besides some ui with loading logo and got crash too. Then i build only scene with one of game content and its work perfectly. So i tried different camera settings, build settings and others still dont know relationship between crashes. Only have log like this:

    Hi, I'm having the same serious problem on an S6, even with Unity 2018.2.7f1 and both Oculus Utilities 1.24 and 1.28. The app starts and crashes almost immediately on black, just before the VR splash screen.

    Sometimes, but very rarely, it just shows the splash screen and goes on with the application for a few seconds, then crashes anyway.

    The logcat is the same reported by Ylly in the previous post:

    Same problem always occurring on every Unity/Oculus versions.
    Following there's a further logcat from a build made with Unity 2018.2.10f1 and Oculus integration 1.29.0.

    Any ideas at all? Nobody else having the same kind of problem? It's more than two weeks now and at least three Unity versions having this serious problem, that's absurd, I literally can't fullfill my client's requests 'cause I'm unable to make a fresh new build.

    Hi, I also have this issue after upgrading Unity from 2017 to 2018.2.11f1 version (for the Unity/Oculus application).

    I continued to have this problem with every possibile Unity/Oculus sdk versions - and without any help both here and on the Oculus forum - until finally I accidentally ran into this page, that solved my problem:

    I can't say which one's the critical parameter, so just stick to every settings they suggest and the crash problem should be solved.

    Looks like our team found an issue. We upgrade Oculus utilities to 1.30. So on any sumsung divece crashing with disabled 32-bit Display Buffer. This option should be enable and its work with our old graphic and quality settings (after upgrade project)
