Hey early on you mentioned adding snow to this plugin.. Was wondering if any work has been done on this or is still planned for the near future?

Did you already purchase Rainscape or are you waiting on iOS compatibility? I need to get iOS licenses before I can properly test the project on an iDevice. If you are anxious, I can give you a copy of the slimmed down iOS prototype I made, which I have had tested with a third party, and know to be slow. You could work the kinks out for yourself. I will bring Rainscape to iOS, its just a matter of me raising enough money to get an iOS license from apple and unity. I believe its $500 all together.

Haven't purchased yet, I don't do anything for desktop, mobile only. I imagine there are many IOS and/or Android only devs here. Would love to see even a scaled back version of this for IOS.

No. See above... I don't have a mobile license, I'm saving up for one. When I have one I will release a mobile version. I hope to be able to afford one by August.

Very cool man, just a question, how I use ripples in a terrain? I not understand when do you talked about "generate a mesh from terrain". I'm new in unity, if have a option for this, I dont know...hehe

I purchased the other day with the intention of using it on Android. I created a new project and included the Rainscape package. I opened the Indie scene and pressed play and it works fine. I then opened the Build Settings and selected Android and pressed the Switch Platform and it converted the project. But now when I press Play there are a bunch of compiler errors. It looks like some of the scripts are messed up. I am using Unity 3.4.2 pro trial. I also tried this on 4 pro trial with the same errors. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

The latest review on the Asset Store says this: "This plugin is made with super-old components, it's not really great with the current version of Unity. I could only use the textures."

Does anyone have more information? I'm still on Unity 3.5 and would like to know whether the problems are with 3.5 or 4.

By super old components i guess they are talking about the particle system, it does not use Shuriken. I have not tested Rainscape on 4.0, I can't upgrade to 4.0 because of some products i'm working on in 3.5

Rainscape works fine in 3.5, I just tested it, and I can't see why it wouldn't work in 4.0 as well.
If you follow the simple instructions in the read-me, there should be no issues.
I think some people have a hard time making tags and setting up input preferences. Granted I did make and release Rainscape 2 years ago, it still has nice effects for modern Unity versions.

Has anyone tried this on mobile or would the performance hit be too great?

So, we should wait until you've upgraded these components before looking at this, then?

How's the iOS compatibility portion going? I would be interested in buying this only for mobile devices. Thx

Hi! The work is great, but i have a problem. I upgraded my project to Unity 4.1, all the effects work fine but the RainScreenEffect. The plane is totally transparent, so the effect is invisible. I also tried with the standard scene included in the package and the problem is the same!

Perfect, thank you! Just out of curiosity... what is the problem with the new version of Unity? (I'm having some troubles also with other transparent shaders and materials)

Does this still work with Unity 3.5.7? And how's the iOS/Mobile support coming along? (BTW, mobile licenses are now free - so you don't have to "save up" anymore! ;))
