    Hi,
I am working on a car controller for an arcade style racing game. I am focusing on how it feels like to drive the car. The car should respond immediately to steering commands, even at high speeds - and countersteering should be possible. But most importantly it should be fun to drive the car.

You can play a WebGL version at itch.io (https://vento.itch.io/race-car-controller). See for yourself if you like the performance of the car.

Is it specifically drifting car? Because it feels very fluid on the road.
It skids rather having grip, even at lower speeds.

Also, at very low speed, camera looks from side, rather back.

    Planning for speed meter?

Yeah agree with Antypodish. If you look at the wheels closely they don’t really relate to the ground properly. So the car feels a bit more like a boat than feeling properly grounded.
With a full length/size car this feels a little too floaty and would be better if remedied. But if you changed the vehicle type or style you could get something that worked visually/mechanically together. For example perhaps a non-wheel based vehicle OR you could get away with a smaller (on-screen) kart type vehicle and the handling would be quite appropriate.

The controller is in a pretty early development stage. A speed meter is planned for. As for drifting, in curves it is intended to drift but when driving straight it should feel stable (that was my intention might need some work though). The camera movement is also intended, but I listen to your suggestions.

I agree with you. I wasn't so aware of that.

I suppose you don't have driving licence / car?
That would give you chance to experience of car handling, when driving.

Regarding camera, It look nice from side. But I would rather have camera options, to switch view sides. For example tab key, or C key. Then you can add multiple views.
