Quirky Blender Importing?

    The file attached to this post imports in Unity out of alignment, and I'm not sure if I'm making the mistake or Unity. Can I do anything to prevent this or is this a bug with importing?

    Looking at the file, I can see one thing - the scale of the different objects are different. If you use the numeric transform for the different objects (NKEY), you can see that some have negative Z scaling.

    Unity currently requires that all objects have no scaling. (you can scale the mesh instead).

    The alternative is to export to 3DS from blender. You can download the exporter from the main blender website. I have been trying to get permission to integrate the 3DS export script into Unity, so we can get read blender files properly...

    If anyone have heard anything about an FBX exporter for Blender, please tell me. I've searched high and low, but been unable to find one. If we are to fix this in the right way, please post a request for an fbx exporter on the blender msg boards.
