I desperately want to get into 3D modeling, it's like a passion, but every time I get started in learning it, I get worried about texturing. I might be able to learn how to 3D model, that's one thing, but I have no art skills like for texturing, shading, all that important stuff.

Along the way I've learned about the obvious textures and materials stuff, but not 100% sure on how to use them. I haven't even messed with them yet, but I was wondering if this would help me with my texturing problem?

All the free stuff in the unity store, specifically textures, are we allowed to use them to make 3D models, and sell those models? Are we allowed to make games with free things from the unity store and sell those games?

With all stuff from that asset store you are allowed to build your game and sell the builded format if you like.

If you are using textures from the asset store in your model(asset) then you can not sell it(the model with the textures bundled) since you do not have the permission to sell their data(raw files).
If the stuff is free, you can try to contact the author and ask for permissions to put in into your asset.

Just to make sure I understand. I can sell models without textures, or sell models with textures I make, but not with textures I get from the asset store? So if I want to make some models and sell them, I gotta remember this.

You can only sell stuff that you have the permission to sell.
If you create a model you are have the right to sell it.
If you take a texture from someone else (from the asset store or some other source) you would need the permission to sell it.

Now to clarify this some more. Everything in the asset store is allowed to be used in making a video game, and that video game I am allowed to sell, correct?

You said that making a 3D model, and using someone's textures from the asset store with my 3D model, isn't allowed, but what about for making video games?

Thank you for the help. I really appreciate it. Sorry if asking in very detail is annoying or anything. I just want to make sure I don't screw something up along the way and get into some trouble. I'm completely knew to all of this and want to make sure I know what I'm doing :).

The difference is in what form you sell the data.
If you sell the data In raw form (as a png or other image file format) with your model, someone else can use it.
If you are selling the game you are making the textures are not in a readable format for anything else then the game.

If i would buy your model and use it in my game -> That fine.
If i Would buy your model and sell it then with some of my stuff -> That's not legal.

Here a quote from the asset store license:
