    Click on your profile pic
    Click on your profile pic in the pop up
    Click on your profile pic on your profile page
    Upload a new picture.

    TL;DR: Just keep clicking on your profile picture until it lets you change it.

    It sounds a bit funny, but it indeed works. Just don't click on @Kiwasi profile pic :p

    Indeed. The technique works reasonably well on most social media platforms.

    I just went and tried this on yours. I was really disappointed I didn't fall into an infinite loop of popup -> profile page -> pop up -> profile page.

    Click on your username on the top right and then on "Avatar":

    What causes the most confusion is, typically, the top right account button would have this under account/settings. Which then redirects you to unity ID which has nowhere to change your avatar.
    why not just have one place to set an avatar for your ID account, with optional overrides for the forum, etc.

    Also noticed almost every 'Unity' page has inconsistent styling with the top right icon.

    Wow, I've just realised of what most of you were telling about the options being on the top right.

    I was going to the very top right instead. Don't know why I didn't see those other options before
