Question about avoiding the 'hold on busy' thing in 2021 versions

    What is the latest Unity version that was released that does NOT have this problem?

    2019.4 LTS with Asset Database v1 (Can be changed to v1 in Project settings -> Editor). I tried 2021 beta yesterday, "hold on" popup ruined my productivity completely. "Reimport All" seems to be working for few hours, but eventually more "hold on" popup will emerge out of nowhere.

    If you don't need the features from 2020 or 2021 releases, don't touch them until Unity address the issue and release fixes.
