I make a torus with Pro Builder. It's not a child of anything. It's new to the scene.

But the anchor/gizmo/core is not at the middle of the object.

Please, how do I set it to the middle of the object?

    This is beyond infuriating.

Hi! Short answer: use the "Set Pivot To Center of Object" action (http://procore3d.github.io/probuilder2/toolbar/object-actions/#move-pivot-to-center-of-object)

Long Answer: Currently, the pivot is set at a vertex corner to 100% ensure your object starts on the grid. Otherwise, you might think your object is on-grid, start editing points (snapping to grid), then move the object- and suddenly all your points are off-grid.

For example, in the image below, you can see the pivot of the Torus is on a grid point, and so are each of it's "sibling" points (inner and outer on ring). The center is not on a grid point so, if the pivot were placed at the center, zero vertices on the object would be on-grid.

However- we should probably give an option for this, yes.

    THANK YOU!!!

This is an excellent explanation of how this came about, why it is the way it is, and how to benefit from the way way it is.

Apparently, the pivot get resetted upon instantiating from a prefab as well. So all coordinates are thrown off by it decentering from 0,0,0 to set the pivot to one of the corner.

I've tried "center pivot" however the gizmo does not move at all.

In probuilder 2 it was possible to keep the selection gizmo at the center of the selected vertices, not on the last one as it happens in modern versions. Anyone knows what to change in settings for that in probuilder 4?
