I'm almost a the point of publishing my VR (google cardboard) mobile game. Each of my clients will have a different version of the project so I'm wondering which will be the best way to publish or download from a link? I could go though playstore/apple store, but as each client will have their own version this will be difficult. Is there a way I can store each version in a cloud for my clients to download and it will work on their mobile without the need to activate developer options?

Downloading an apk is possible on android if you enable install from unknown sources.
    Apple has no such thing.

What is the exact issue you have?
If people are not updating their apps, that's their problem.
If it's multiplayer/networked, simply do a version check when connecting

Hi, and thanks for your reply.

My problem is when I test my game on my mobile, I have to have "developer options" activated, I assume that if my clients download the same apk then they will have to have this activated too. This might put some of my clients off, so I would prefer them to just be able to download and run it straight away.

Even though this would be my best option for publishing, if there is a third party option that you could recommend this could be a option too.

You mentioned that this is not possible with apple, does this mean that you always have to go through apple to publish? I've been working on android but of cause will want it to work on apple too in the future.

Hearing what you are worrying about, why don't you use WebGL?

It does. 2022.3 also removed the popup that webgl is not officially supported and added mobile texture compression support
