PSD files with alpha import as completely white sprites

    Recently all images that I save as .psd files and import in Unity, show as completely white squares (in the asset preview but also in game).

    These are my settings:

    I've tried different versions of Alpha Is Transparency and Remove Move (PSD) on and off, but nothing changes anything.

    I also tried setting Photoshops preferences to "Maximize compatibility" when saving, but it also didn't help.

    It seems this change happened because of some Photoshop update, but I can't really tell.

    no solution but try using psb instead of psd as explained in this unity official video



    looks like the preferred way to go with photoshop imports

    PSB seems to work in my case (as do PNG etc).

    Another workaround that seems to work: After enabling maximize compatibility, save as a copy. The new document then works. A little strange, but maybe the compatibility setting is the culprit and is only applied once per file, even after re-saving.
