    Hi,
I'm programmer who preparing new game project in game development company.
Before start to making product, I have to make rules for everyone about naming file or folder, managing assets,... and my coworkers have different opinions about PSB file.

Artists say managing files, creating bone with PSB and PSD importer is very comfortable.
But the others say this is hard to collaborate. Because not everyone can use Photoshop, and all images' meta files are bound in one.
My team is not that big, so I want to hear other people's opinion.
Anybody can share your experience about PSB file?

Well, what's the alternative you propose?
Using the PSD importer with PSB files is the main way you handle animations in Unity...
You don't really wanna fallback to separate png files etc.

Some of my teammates say we have to avoid PSB file, but the others say working with PSB file is very comfortable. And while this situation, I have to make a rule about this in some days. So I just want to hear other people's thoughts. Thanks for reply!

Everyone can use Photoshop. It's officially available for Windows and macOS, and it can be made to work under Linux. I had to pick it up for a project a few years back and as a programmer I had no trouble learning what was absolutely necessary to bring the work of our artists into Unity.
